Whether you’re in the mood for a party, a par-tay, an affair, a ball, a bash, a blowout, a to-do, a function, a gala, a kid-friendly Children of the Cob happening, or a cannibalistic blood orgy, Con on the Cob has you covered. Here’s a sampling of what’s in store so far:
This has been an annual tradition at Con on the Cob since the first coblin sailed from the motherland with a bottle of Kraken and a copy of Chunderstorm. It's sort of a get-to-know-each-other thing with games and booze (you don't have to drink in order to participate and you don't have to play Chunderstorm in order to go to the party) and it's ever so much fun. BYOB and share with each other.
What could be more artsy-fartsy than a bunch of artists and aspiring artists and also people who don't consider themselves artists but just like to draw and/or hang out with artists sitting around drinking booze (or not booze) and drawing pictures together according to prompts provided communally by those therein assembled? Nothing is the answer. Nothing is more artsy-fartsy than that.
Here's your chance to get in close with one (or all) of the Con on the Cob special guests while enjoying some delicious Mexican food at Cozumel (it's about a block away from the con). Your ticket fee covers dinner (one menu item and a drink) for you and for one of our special guests.
Our good pals at Stray Dog are providing the cereal and milk (and milk alternatives) while Cartoon DJ Kylan X rolls the toons. All are welcome and it's free (because of Stray Dog's generosity).
Put on pajamas (or just keep them on). Partake of pizza. Proceed to play. Repeat as necessary. It's the Children of the Cob Saturday afternoon pizza party featuring Santa Claus and all sorts of exciting jazz! Children of the Cob and their guests only, if you please.
Bourbon tasting with our good friends from Knights of the Bourbon Barrel. Your donations benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League and your drunken ramblings benefit those who laugh at your antics.
Our good friends from Barfleet's UBS Casual are returning this year to host their annual shindig. There's a fantastic bar with signature drinks and super cool bartenders, music and dancing, and all sorts of fun shenanigans. NOT TO BE MISSED.
The REAL for-realsies Santa Claus will be at Con on the Cob (he's a personal friend) and on Sunday he'll be entertaining the Children of the Cob with stories and songs. It's a jingly-jangly good time!
Please contact Andy if you'd like to host a party at Con on the Cob. A limited number of party locations are available. You also have the option to host a party in your hotel room should you be thusly inclined.
