Attendance By attending Kanimecon Lawrence, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines for photography and videography. This policy is intended to maintain a respectful, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees while safeguarding the privacy and rights of participants, exhibitors and guests.
Agreement When entering Kanimecon Lawrence, you acknowledge and agree that you may be photographed or filmed by approved media personnel, Kanimecon Lawrence staff and affiliates. These images and recordings may be used for Kanimecon Lawrence promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and printed materials. Attendees, exhibitors and guests do not have the right to review, approve, or receive compensation for any images or recordings used in Kanimecon Lawrence’s promotional efforts.
Personal Media Attendees are welcome to take personal photos and videos for non-commercial use. This includes photos of the general event, cosplayers, scenery or venue. However, attendees must seek explicit permission before photographing or filming other individuals, including but not limited to cosplayers, exhibitors and special guests.
Drones The use of drones for photography or videography is strictly prohibited unless prior written consent is granted from the venue and Kanimecon Lawrence.
Recording Devices Unauthorized recording devices, or any device that takes or records video, audio, or photos including but not limited to hidden cameras or microphones, are not permitted.
Safety Equipment, including tripods, must not obstruct foot traffic, doorways, or walkways.
Lost, Theft and Damages Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for the loss, damage, or theft of media equipment. Media representatives are responsible for their own safety and for adhering to event rules and policies.
Failure to comply with these restrictions may lead to the removal of equipment or expulsion from the event.
Commercial and Professional Media Commercial photographers or videographers who wish to conduct shoots for commercial purposes must obtain prior written permission from Kanimecon Lawrence. Without explicit approval, the sale or distribution of any photos or footage for commercial use is prohibited.
Personal Requirements Media representatives covering the event are required to obtain credentials in advance through Kanimecon Lawrence’s press application process and adhere to all media guidelines outlined by Kanimecon Lawrence. Kanimecon Lawrence reserves the right to approve or deny media passes at its discretion.
Media Pass Visibility Media passes must be worn visibly at all times.
Access Media passes do not grant special access to restricted areas.
Interviews Interviews with staff, special guests, or exhibitors must be scheduled through the event’s media coordinator. Attendees must give their consent before being interviewed, and invasive or inappropriate questioning is not permitted.
Adherence to Company’s Policies Press and Media Pass Holders are expected to follow and acknowledge all Event Policies, including but not limited to: (i) the Dress and Prop Policy, (ii) the Harassment Policy, (iii) the Attendee Guidelines set forth in Exhibit E, (iv) the Exhibitor Policy, (v) the Covid-19 Safety Guidelines set forth in Exhibit F, and (vi) the Photography and Videography Policy set forth in Exhibit G.
General Consent Media representatives must obtain consent before photographing, recording or filming attendees, exhibitors, or participants as one of their main subjects.
Children and Minors Photos, recordings or videos featuring minors under the age of 18 as the main subject must have the express permission of their parent or legal guardian before they are taken or shared. Any failure to obtain such permission will result in immediate removal from the event.
No Photography Zones In designated "No Photography Zones" (such as specific panels or workshops), photography, recording and videography are strictly forbidden. These areas will be marked, and attendees must comply with signage and staff instructions.
Restrooms Photography, Recording or Videography in the restrooms is strictly forbidden.
Media Liability Any attendee, exhibitor or participant who consents to being photographed or filmed acknowledges that they do so at their own risk. Kanimecon Lawrence and its affiliated LLC are not liable for any damages or legal actions that may arise from the use of such images or recordings by third parties.
Privacy and Harassment Any photography or videography that invades personal privacy, such as taking inappropriate or invasive images (e.g., "upskirt" or "downblouse" photos), is strictly prohibited. Any violation of an individual’s privacy may result in immediate removal from the event and possible legal consequences.
Reporting Harassment Attendees who feel they are being harassed, followed, or photographed without consent should immediately report the incident to Kanimecon Lawrence staff or event security.
Distribution Attendees are not permitted to sell or distribute photos or videos taken during Kanimecon Lawrence for commercial purposes without obtaining prior written approval from Kanimecon Lawrence.
Intellectual Property Attendees may not create or distribute promotional material (photos, videos, live streams, etc.) that implies endorsement by, affiliation with, or sponsorship from Kanimecon Lawrence without prior written permission from Kanimecon Lawrence.
Violation and Enforcement
Company’s Authority to Direct Event Company may, in its sole discretion, request the relocation, adjustment, modification or removal of any item(s), equipment or attire that does not comply with the media policy or that pose a safety risk. This includes, but is not limited to, items that obstruct walkways, create safety hazards, or are deemed inappropriate by Company. The request to relocate, modify or remove items will not entitle the press or media pass holder, attendee, exhibitor, guest, or sponsor to any form of discount, refund, or compensation. Attendees shall comply with such requests promptly and without expectation of financial adjustment. Kanimecon Lawrence reserves the right to refuse entry or eject anyone not following the policy.
Violations of Company’s Policies Failure to comply with Event Policies may result in warnings, revocation of media credentials, law enforcement involvement, expulsion from the Event, or a permanent ban from future events held by Company . Company staff has the final say in all matters related to compliance with Event Policies. No refunds will be given. Event staff, security and volunteers have the authority to ask anyone violating this policy to cease their actions or leave the venue immediately. Kanimecon Lawrence reserves the right to enforce this policy and make final decisions regarding violations.
Policy Updates Company reserves the right to make changes to these Event Policies, and Company will communicate any changes to Attendees.
