Attendee Policy

BADGES AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

Display Badges must be worn visibly at all times while on the premises.

Non-transferable Badges cannot be shared, transferred, or re-sold. Violation of this rule may result in immediate revocation without a refund.

Non-Refundable Badges, tickets and merchandise purchased are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable. Circumstantial exceptions may be made at Kanimecon Lawrence’s discretion.

Lost Badges Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged badges. Lost badges will require repurchase.

Age Verification. Badge pickup and certain events (18+ or 21+) require valid, government-issued photo ID for age verification.

Parental Responsibility Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with an adult badge and valid ID at all times. All minors over the age of three are required to have their own badge or wristband on during the event. The parent or guardian accompanying any minor must be present with them at badge pickup. Minors are not allowed to accompany adults into adult-only events nor are they allowed to be left unattended during these events. The guardian must remain within line of sight of the minor at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event and notification of local authorities. Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for the supervision or care of minors. Kanimecon Lawrence does not provide childcare services.

Photography Consent By purchasing a badge, you consent to being photographed or recorded at the event for our promotional purposes. You waive any right to inspect or approve the use of these images.

COSPLAY AND PROPS

Cosplay and Props Policy Summary

Dress Code Attire must cover all private areas. Attire of sexual, overly revealing or inappropriate nature may result in removal from the event.

Respectful Costumes* Attire must be respectful. Offensive, political, controversial or culturally insensitive attire is prohibited.

Prop Rules No real weapons or realistic-looking weapon replicas allowed. All props must be inspected and tagged at the event's discretion.

MEDIA POLICY

Media Policy Attendees must follow the Media Policy. The full most up to date Media Policy can be found here:

Media Policy Summary Permission Required Always ask for consent before taking photos or videos of others. Violating someone’s privacy will result in ejection from the event.

Inappropriate Photography Any inappropriate or intrusive photography (e.g., upskirt photos) will lead to immediate removal, a permanent ban, and possible legal action.

BEHAVIOR AND HARASSMENT

Code of Conduct All attendees, staff, and guests must be treated with respect. Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Cosplay is Not Consent Always ask for permission before touching or photographing someone. Inappropriate touching or invading personal space will result in removal.

Harassment Any form of harassment (physical, verbal, sexual, or otherwise) will result in immediate removal and possible legal action. Review our harassment policy for details. The full most up to date Harassment Policy can be found here:

Blocking Pathways Do not block hallways, exits, or doorways. Failure to comply with fire code safety regulations will result in removal.

No Sleeping on Premises Sleeping or remaining on-site after hours is prohibited.

No Cutting Cutting in line, saving spots, or pushing will not be tolerated. Such behavior may result in removal from the event.

Reserved Gaming Areas Respect the gaming tables and other reserved spaces. Only those with reservations may use the designated areas during times listed.

Reasonable Noise Keep noise levels reasonable, especially in public spaces. No personal speakers or music devices are permitted.

Personal Hygiene Please maintain good personal hygiene. Use deodorant (recommendation) and be considerate of body odor for everyone’s comfort. Those with poor hygiene may be asked to leave to clean up.

PROPERTY

No Tampering Do not damage or tamper with venue property or safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, sprinklers).

Prohibited Materials No confetti, glitter, or sticky substances such as slime or stickers, as these can damage venue property.

Prohibited Items No open flames, fireworks, hazardous materials, bubbles, fog machines, illegal substances or any activities that create a mess, damage property or interfere with the safety of yourself or others is strictly prohibited.

No Smoking Smoking is prohibited on the property, both inside and outside.

Dispose of Trash Use designated bins for trash disposal. Keep the venue clean.

Departure Attendees are only allowed on Event property during Attendee hours. Attendees must depart from the venue after Attendees hours have concluded for that day.

Personal Property*

Report Lost Items Lost and found items should be reported to the designated Lost & Found area. Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for the loss of personal items.

Personal Property Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for personal property brought into the Event. Attendees, exhibitors, artists, sponsors, entertainers and participants are solely responsible for securing their belongings, merchandise, and equipment. Kanimecon Lawrence encourages you to keep valuables in secure locations. Lost or stolen property must be reported to the event’s Lost & Found, but Kanimecon Lawrence cannot guarantee recovery.

FOOD AND DRINKS

Drink Only clear fully transparent water bottles with lids that seal completely shut and are filled with non carbonated, clear water are allowed from outside the venue. All other beverages must be purchased at the venue.

Food Packaged non sticky, non liquid children's snack like plain crackers and fruit snacks are allowed. Snacks that have a power coating or seasoning that sticks to fingers are not allowed to be bought in from outside the venue. All other food must be purchased at the venue.

Restrictions Food and drinks purchased will not be allowed in the game room or vendor Hall. With the exceptions of water bottles that meet the criteria above.

Water Fountains You may refill water bottles at the water fountain stations.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Reporting Suspicious Activity Attendees are encouraged to report suspicious activity or violations of these guidelines to staff or security immediately.

Service Animals Only trained service animals (dogs, miniature ponies) are allowed. No wild animals, pets or emotional support animals.

Bag Checks Kanimecon Lawrence reserves the right to inspect all bags, purses, totes, boxes, cases, and backpacks at any time for any reason. Bags larger than a standard fanny pack or non-transparent items could require additional inspection and tagging and may be searched at any time at the discretion of event staff. Consider using a clear bag to avoid delays.

Board Games Attendees may bring their own board games or tabletop materials. These items must be clearly labeled with your name. This will avoid confusion with Kanimecon Lawrence-owned, rented or borrowed materials.

Safety First For the safety of all attendees, running is not permitted. Walk at all times.

Footwear Shoes are required at all times. Shoes must have soles that cover the bottom of the foot.

PROHIBITED

AI Images Prohibited The sale or promotion of AI-generated images, books, or other content is strictly prohibited. Violators will be asked to remove the merchandise or leave the premises without a refund. This also applies to suspected AI-content.

No Solicitation Only registered sponsors and exhibitors may sell or promote anything including but not limited to merchandise or businesses. Unofficial solicitation, such as signs offering “free hugs,” is not allowed.

Alcohol No alcohol is permitted on the premises, except for licensed areas. Underage drinking is prohibited and will result in immediate removal.

Illegal Substances The possession, use, or sale of illegal substances will result in removal and referral to law enforcement.

Gambling Gambling, bingo, raffles and games of chance are not allowed.

GENERAL COMPLIANCE

Adherence to Company’s Policies You are expected to follow and acknowledge all Event Policies, including but not limited to: (i) the Dress and Prop Policy, (ii) the Harassment Policy, (iii) the Attendee Guidelines set forth in Exhibit E, (iv) the Exhibitor Policy, (v) the Covid-19 Safety Guidelines set forth in Exhibit F, and (vi) the Photography and Videography Policy set forth in Exhibit G. The Parties expressly acknowledge and agree that the policies contained in Exhibits E, F, and G are binding on Exhibitor and are incorporated herein by reference.

Company’s Authority to Direct Event Company may, in its sole discretion, request the relocation, adjustment, or removal of any item(s) worn, for sale or display. This includes, but is not limited to, items that obstruct walkways, create safety hazards, or are deemed inappropriate by Company. The request to relocate or remove items will not entitle the Exhibitor, Attendee, guest, or sponsor to any form of discount, refund, or compensation. Attendees shall comply with such requests promptly and without expectation of financial adjustment.

Violations of Company’s Policies Failure to comply with Event Policies may result in warnings, fines, law enforcement involvement, expulsion from the Event without a refund, or a permanent ban from future events. Company staff has the final say in all matters related to compliance with Event Policies.

Policy Updates Company reserves the right to make changes to these Event Policies, and Company will promptly communicate any changes to Exhibitors.
