The Vendor Hall and Artist Alley will be located in the Open Air Pavilion at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, Kansas. Note this is a fenced in Open Air Structure outdoors.
There are Restrooms, Ceiling Fans, Ceiling lights and Water Fountain located in the Open Air Pavilion.
Exhibitors are allowed to bring personal battery operated fans as long as they do not negatively impact other exhibitors or attendees.
Food Trucks will be stationed completely outside with no roof, cover or protection from the elements.

Assigned Spaces Kanimecon Lawrence assigns spaces to Exhibitors. Exhibitor shall occupy only their designated space(s).
Single Business Each business/Exhibitor may operate from only one area. The area may contain several adjacent purchased spaces but shall not be spread across different areas. Before sharing assigned booths, Exhibitors shall obtain Kanimecon Lawrence’s prior written consent.
Noise Levels Exhibitor shall keep noise at a reasonable level to avoid disturbing nearby exhibitors and attendees.
Authenticity Exhibitors shall ensure all merchandise is original and does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of Kanimecon Lawrence or third parties. Counterfeit or unauthorized reproductions are prohibited.
Openly Visible Material All openly displayed merchandise and artwork must be suitable for all audiences.
18+ Material Exhibitors selling 18+ merchandise shall display appropriate signage. Exhibitor shall cover such material and separate such material from general displays. Such material should not be reachable to children. Exhibitor shall be responsible for verifying the ages of customers. Exhibitor shall complete age verification before allowing customers to view or purchase 18+ material. Exhibitor shall wrap and cover 18+ material for customers and remind customers to store 18+ items out of view, such as in their vehicles. Restrictions apply to 18+ material.
Content Inspection. Kanimecon Lawrence may, in its sole discretion, inspect all materials. Violations of the Event Policies may result in removal without a refund.
Props and Weapons All merchandise related to props, weapons, or cosplay must comply with Kanimecon Lawrence policies with respect to cosplayers. Pursuant to these policies, merchandise related to props, weapons, or cosplay shall comport with restrictions on sharp objects, bats, sharp blades, and items that Kanimecon Lawrence deems dangerous or hazardous. Items that produce fire, confetti, sequins, glitter, or other residues are also prohibited.
Prohibited and Restricted
Restricted Content Artwork and merchandise featuring political figures, political parties, hate groups, racial slurs, or content related to highly controversial topics is strictly prohibited. This includes the Confederate flag and Nazi flag, unless displayed in a historical context (e.g., a book on the American Civil War).
Sexually Explicit Content Artwork and merchandise featuring minors in explicit or sexual manners is prohibited. Characters presented in a sexual manner must be of legal consenting age, both mentally and physically. This includes immortal characters or characters who cannot age further. All merchandise must comply with federal, state, and local laws.
Graphic or Triggering Content The display or sale of graphic or triggering content, including depictions of school shootings, rape, visible penetration, suicide, and other sensitive topics, is prohibited regardless of age restrictions.
Gambling or Carnival Games Operation of gambling or carnival games such as games of chance, raffles, or lotteries is strictly prohibited.
Weapons The sale or display of weapons; sharp, blunt or dangerous objects; projectiles; explosive devices; and hazardous substances is prohibited.
Nuisance The sale or display of items that produce loud noises (e.g., horns, whistles) or leave residue (e.g., glitter, confetti) is prohibited.
Drones The sale or operation of drones or other flying objects is prohibited.
Stickers The sale of stickers is prohibited.
Illicit Items The sale of illicit items or items encouraging illicit activity is strictly prohibited, including the sale of merchandise that violates federal or state law.
AI-Generated Images The sale or display of AI-generated images in any form is prohibited. Kanimecon Lawrence may, in its sole discretion, remove exhibitors who fail to comply with this prohibition without a refund. Kanimecon Lawrence may require exhibitors to provide evidence that images are not AI generated. Such evidence may include links to the original makers for verification, work-in-progress photos of the image in question, or work-in-progress photos from similar pieces. Kanimecon Lawrence may, in its sole discretion, determine that evidence is insufficient to support a finding that an image is not AI generated and require exhibitor to remove the offending item.
Alcoholic Beverages The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
Schedule Kanimecon Lawrence will communicate setup and breakdown times to exhibitors in advance. Exhibitors shall adhere to setup and breakdown schedule. No one will be allowed in the Exhibitor hall after event hours without an escort.
Booth Staffing Each Exhibitor shall staff its booth during all Exhibitor Hall hours. Exhibitor shall notify Kanimecon Lawrence staff of any emergencies immediately.
Premature Breakdown Exhibitors who close their spaces early without permission may lose their chance to be invited to future events. If exhibitor needs to leave early, they should coordinate with the assigned Exhibitor Hall organizer before the event.
Utilities Kanimecon Lawrence may charge exhibitors for access to electricity, internet, and other utilities.
Electronics All electronics must be turned off, and items plugged into outlets or extension cords must be unplugged at the end of each night.
Liability Exhibitors are responsible for any damage to the venue caused by their activities. Exhibitors shall not attach materials to the floor, walls, fixtures, furniture, or columns.
Displays
Safety Displays must be stable and must not pose a safety hazard to others. All banners, signage, displays, and demonstrations must remain within the allocated space. Electrical equipment shall comply with state and federal laws and regulations. Display elements shall not exceed eight (8) feet in height.
Prohibited Items Open flames, hazardous materials, bubbles, confetti, fog machines, or any activities that create a mess or interfere with neighboring spaces are prohibited.
Displays Exhibitor shall not display excessive profanity, AI generated images, political or controversial messages, or any content that may be culturally insensitive or explicit in their space.
Audio Exhibitors shall not play music from their space.
Visual Media Exhibitor shall obtain Kanimecon Lawrence’s prior approval for any audiovisual presentations.
Cleanliness
Booth Cleanliness Exhibitors shall keep their space reasonably clean and organized.
Waste Disposal Exhibitor shall dispose of trash in designated areas and promptly remove large items or excessive packaging from the premises. Exhibitor shall properly dispose of food and drink items at the end of each day/night.
Payment Methods Exhibitor may accept cash or electronic payments. Electronic payment options are encouraged.
Pricing All items must have clearly marked and displayed prices.
Sales Tax Exhibitors are responsible for reporting and complying with local sales tax laws and regulations.
Selection Process Exhibitor spaces are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Selection will be made at the sole discretion of Kanimecon Lawrence based on what best align with its goals and objectives. Selection criteria include, but are not limited to, the variety and uniqueness of products or services, relevance to the event theme, and the overall balance of the Exhibitor lineup. Kanimecon Lawrence may accept or reject, in its sole discretion, any exhibitor or sponsor application.
Adherence to Policies You are expected to follow and acknowledge all Event Policies, including but not limited to: (i) the Dress and Prop Policy, (ii) the Harassment Policy, (iii) the Attendee Policy and Guidelines, (iv) the Exhibitor Policy, (v) the Covid-19 Safety Guidelines, and (vi) the Media Policy.
Behavior Exhibitors will treat fellow exhibitors, attendees, and staff with respect. Harassment or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Kanimecon Lawrence aims to create a safe and inclusive environment.
Kanimecon Lawrence’s Authority Kanimecon Lawrence may, in its sole discretion, request the relocation, adjustment, or removal of any item(s) for sale or display within an exhibitors space. This includes, but is not limited to, items that obstruct walkways, create safety hazards, or are deemed inappropriate by Kanimecon Lawrence. The request to relocate or remove items will not entitle the exhibitor, guest, or sponsor to any form of discount, refund, or compensation. Exhibitor shall comply with such requests promptly and without expectation of financial adjustment.
Violations of Policies Failure to comply with Event Policies may result in warnings, fines, law enforcement involvement, expulsion from the Event without a refund, or a permanent ban from future events. Kanimecon Lawrence staff has the final say in all matters related to compliance with Event Policies.
Policy Updates Kanimecon Lawrence reserves the right to make changes to these Event Policies, and will communicate any changes to exhibitors.
Media Release By attending the event, exhibitors consent to being photographed, recorded, and/or filmed by authorized media personnel and event staff and volunteers. These images and recordings may be used for promotional or archival purposes without compensation. Kanimecon Lawrence is not responsible for third-party media or unauthorized photography by other attendees.
