2018 D8 Summit

Preregistration is closed, but the fun is only beginning!

Players, preregistration closed at 10am on 4/10/2018, but if you didn't preregister, you can still attend this quickly growing convention!

We have reserved a certain number of day and weekend badges, and spaces in the hottest events can still be reserved.

Please note that, on site, cash is the preferred means of payment. However, we may be able to accept cards with some website fees. We are happy to answer your questions and get you badges and events at the registration booth, at the convention entrance. The registration table opens on Friday, April 27th, at 7:00pm. It will then open Saturday, April 28th, and Sunday, April 29th, at 7:30am. You can also forward any questions in advance to jonconnorself@gmail.com for a prompt response.

Thank you for visiting the home of the 2018 D8 Summit, a charity fundraiser convention hosted in scenic Utica, Illinois. Located at the Grand Bear Resort, conveniently located across the street from Starved Rock State Park, this convention offers its attendees an experience unlike any other. Enjoy quality games like these:

• D&D Adventurers League games, including the final two Season 7 AL modules, both Season 7 Epics, and exclusive Convention Created Content, as well as Fai Chen's Fantastical Faire and convention-exclusion certs
• Pathfinder Society play, as well as Starfinder Society play, across the whole convention's duration
• Several "Play and Win" format board games, where one player that weekend walks out of the convention with the game they played
• Access to our board game library, with 200+ titles, included with every badge
• Convention exclusive merchandise, showing your support of the convention mission (and looking cool while doing it)

Gaming for a great cause!

The D8 Summit believes that when people game for charity, everybody wins! In support of that mission, we have partnered with PADS of Illinois Valley, a homeless shelter network in North Central Illinois. They are an exemplary organization, and we are confident funds raised for them will target some of the most vulnerable people that live in our community. A portion of the proceeds from this event will fund the renovation of a Domestic Violence shelter for women and families in Dixon, IL as well.

Very Important Gamer (VIG) Friday

Those that choose to support the convention at the highest level this year will receive a number of perks, including the chance to play the Convention Created Content ran by an actual author, as well as a special AL cert created for the biggest donors to our charity partner. These special games are played on Friday night, and are exclusive to VIG badge holders. Other weekend badges are good for events on both Saturday and Sunday. Don't Forget the Swag!

After purchasing a badge, you can order convention-exclusive items, including commemorative dice sets, Adventurers League certs, and re-roll tickets. The dice and certs are limited, so you will want to order them sooner rather than later! We will try, but we cannot guarantee, we will have many on-hand to sell during the event.

Important Dates

We wanted attendees to be aware of important dates.

• Early badge registration goes live on October 31st, 2017, and it will run through November 27th, 2017. During this time, weekend badges can be purchased at a discounted price, and attendees with badges can purchase to reserve their commemorative dice sets (supplies limited) and reroll tickets.

• Event submission goes live on January 1st, 2018.

• Organized Play events will begin populating our website February 1st, 2018.
