Strange things are afoot! Someone is tampering with Xcrawl, influencing the staff to start celebrating the season a little early and even attempting to get the gods to put aside their differences and laugh it up. This event is past the point where ticket sales are permitted.Xcrawl and Dungeon Crawl Classics join forces to bring you Xcrawl Classics from Goodman Games! Extreme Dungeon Crawl! In Xcrawl characters take the roles of superstar athletes taking their chances in a live on pay-per-view death sport. Think of a dungeon crawl turned into a media event spectator sport. You will meet monsters, puzzles, and traps, in your quest for treasure and glory. Your task is to fulfill whatever conditions are set forth by the DJ (Dungeon Jockey) in order to win.
Xcrawl is about working together and helping out your teammates; a fundraiser is about helping others. I'd like to do this by raising funds during the game: you can buy Mojo for a pledge of $1/point. What's Mojo? It's just like Luck where it can be spent to buy + modifiers on dice rolls, but Mojo can only be spent on your teammates. Want to help out a teammate with a +1 on their roll? Pledge $1. Want to help out with +5, +10, or ... +20?? Pledge $5, $10, or $20! Pledge as often as you like, there is no minimum amount, and any amount is welcome.
- Pledges will be on the honor system and players should come expecting to pledge donations and to honour their pledges after the game by making donations directly to the charity of their choice. *
You are welcome to support the charity of your choice, or one in your local area, as many are having a tough year, but please consider our local Veterans Food Bank of Calgary. The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary supports veterans who’ve served in all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces, Reserves and first responders.
2nd level characters (with all-new XCC classes!) will be provided, rules will be explained, no experience necessary. Game will be played by video over Jitsi Meet and your own dice or diceroller (links to come later). Video may be recorded.
Winter is just getting starting, and especially during COVID-19 foodbanks everywhere can use our support.
