IWO JIMA HELL: WW2 80th Anniversary (ph.1)

Paying Honor, Respect & Tribute to the US Marine Corps’ costliest battle and “the fiercest - bloodiest fighting of the Pacific War.” Three USMC Divisions (approx. 80k) ”hit the beach” supported by complete air & naval supremacy provided by the USN (w/a dozen+ battleships) & USN & USMC aircraft vs 20k Japanese defending bunkers, w/hidden artillery & 11 miles of tunnels. (1% survived). We’ll start each session with a Commemoration, & end w/a Memorial. (See next: IWO APEX: “SURIBACHI” 8pm Fri)
