“Cul-de-sac” is an introductory story for EFFIGY: A Mythic Reality RPG, about a very tiny part of that Mythic World… a backyard. It is the end of summer, a den of garden gnomes prepares for their fall harvest, when evil comes to their door to destroy their home. It is a scenario for 5-6 players who take on the roles of the “little people”. They are small, but never underestimate them.

What is EFFIGY: A Mythic Reality
A World made from Myth, EFFIGY: A Mythic Reality is a TTRPG for players and Mythmakers (referees) to create the stories they always wanted to play. It takes its cues from the epic stories of ancient religions and myths, drawing from these tales of lost heroes that rose up against terrible foes to protect humanity and defend against the evils that sought its destruction. History is full of these individuals who stood out to impact the shaping of the World, some grew to be legends.
Players create characters that are like a modern-day Beowulf or Ulysses on a journey to fulfill their destiny. They will encounter ancient horrors and secret societies with hidden agendas. It is a World of intrigue, monsters, magic and cutting-edge science.
