ONE PAGE RULES

GRIMDARK FUTURE FIREFIGHT

Humanity struggles to survive in the war-torn edges of a new galaxy. In a universe filled with epic conflicts, mighty heroes, and daring adventurers, many factions face off to determine who will dominate in the battle for supremacy. Bullets, claws, blades, and psychic powers clash amid an ever-shifting web of alliances and opportunism. How will you forge your path through this Grimdark Future?

What it is:

Grimdark Future Firefight is a low model count sci-fi skirmish game. It can be played with 2-4 people (although 2 is ideal), requires roughly 5-10 models per player, and takes about an hour to play. It requires a handful of d6’s, roughly 5 or 6 is all that’s needed, and a measuring tape. Players take turns activating units and collecting objectives until the fourth round.

What to bring:

The game will be played with 250 point armies. The coordinators will have spare armies to loan out to new players, as well as spare dice and measuring tape if needed. We will be using the most up to date version of the rules as per the army builder on the Army Forge website.

Structure & Schedule:

We will be playing with the standard core rules of the game. Tournaments may take place at a later date, but right now we’re just trying to introduce people new to wargaming and to this side of the hobby! We’ll have 2 tables running side-by-side, 2-3 players per match, each match is approximately 45 mins to 1 hour, so we're running 4 matches per Game Slot at RPGA-Con.

Etiquette:

We ask that everyone keep the game light, fun, and above all respectful. Before the game starts, go over your army list with your opponent and make sure you both understand how your forces operate. Communicate your moves and intentions with each other as you play, and play at a pace that your opponent is comfortable with. Most importantly there will be no tolerance for bullying, harassment, trash talking, or bigotry of any kind.

BATTLETECH- ALPHA STRIKE!

BattleTech: Alpha Strike

War, War never changes.

At least until we got to Mech technology

DO YOU ACCEPT MY BATTCHALL?

What it is:

Alpha Strike is a sci-fi game with stompy robots, and terrain. It can be played with 2-4 people on one mat, and requires less than 10 models, and takes about an hour to play. It requires a handful of d6’s, roughly 5 or 6 is all that’s needed, and a measuring tape. We can play with objectives, or just brawl.

What to bring:

The game will be played with 200 point armies. The game runner will have spare models with prebuilt lists to loan out to new players, as well as spare dice and measuring tape if needed. A copy of the rulebook will be in PDF form.

Structure & Schedule:

We will be playing with the standard core rules of the game. This is just an introduction to alpha strike. I’ll have 2 tables running side-by-side, with time for each player who signs up to play 3 matches.

GASLANDS REFUELED

Gaslands: Refueled

1969: Apollo 11, first manned Moon landing.

1976: Ares 1, first manned Mars landing.

1979: August, first Martian installation.

1982: Civilian Martian colonisation begins.

1991: Martian Secession.

1999: Martian Attack and Earth’s collapse.

2008: Gaslands TV show launches.

2018: Present day. Gaslands 10-year anniversary.

Earth has been under Martian occupation for 19 years. The planet is a ghetto. All money goes to Martian corporations. The internet is gone, but television continues under the global control of The Network; and the crown jewel of The Network’s programming is Gaslands. Amateur and professional death races from across the scarred surface of Earth are broadcasted to the eager and bloodthirsty masses of Mars as teams of racers battle for a place in the prime-time international finals.

This spring The Network is offering a unique prize: a one-way ticket to Mars. Will you put your pedal to the metal in the deadliest death races of Gaslands history, winning yourself a chance to escape the crumbling Earth and make a new life in the haven of Mars, or will you crash and burn for the entertainment of the Martian masses? Tune in and gear up to find out!

Gaslands in 60 seconds:

Gaslands is a car combat game using toy cars, movement templates, and dice to allow you to race, skid, and blast your way through the post-apocalyptic dystopian future. Rounds are split into one of six Gear phases, and each vehicle can be in one of six gears. Vehicles in a higher gear move more often, but they’re harder to control and have a higher chance of wiping out!

What to Bring:

The game coordinator, Hand of Fate, will have vehicles and dice available to loan out, but if you want to bring your own Hot Wheels or Matchbox toy cars (either converted or not) and a handful of d6’s then go wild! To keep things simple each player will control one car and all cars will have the same stats, but future events could involve custom vehicles and higher stakes!

Structure & Schedule:

We’ll be running two death race matches, one after the other, with 2 hours for each race. Each race will have 3-5 players with one vehicle each, a car armed with a front-mounted machine gun and a handgun. Players will begin at the Starting Line with the first player to activate being determined by a die roll. Players will have to cross two racing gates before crossing the finish line, or more likely wipeout and explode halfway through the track. The winner is the first to cross the finish line or the last one standing.

Etiquette:

Gaslands is a game that’s meant to be fast, exciting, and overall fun, so we ask that in the spirit of Gaslands every player works to keep the game fun for everyone else at the table. If you have a question or are unsure about a rule, feel free to ask the game coordinator Hand of Fate. Above all else there will be no tolerance for bullying, trash talking, harassment, or bigotry.

FORBIDDEN PSALM

FP_bleed+(2).jpg

The Inn keeper had told you all to take the southern path past the decaying trees. Along the cold barren road you walked, until up ahead, beyond the trees, stood a twisted castle. The Inn keeper had told you of the wizard who lived here. A recluse who refused to show his face, but offered good coin for tasks completed.

You approach the large gate of the castle. The drawbridge down welcoming you, rusty chains draping off its sides. Your knock echoes through the empty castle. After a moment you hear footsteps and then a small window opens in the door. A single beady eye looks out, wide and frantic.

"I am Vriprix the Mad Wizard, if you are here for work we can talk, otherwise be gone pests."

What is Forbidden Psalm?

Forbidden Psalm is a 28mm miniatures agnostic skirmish game and standalone RPG setting, fully compatible with the MÖRK BORG ttrpg. It is designed for small-scale tactical combat where each player controls a warband of 5 miniatures against monsters and/or other players.

What do I need to bring to play?

Everything will be supplied to demo the game, however if you'd like to bring your own Warband: 5 28mm Miniatures (25mm/32mm bases are fine, I'm not going to be a stickler about base sizes) A Standard Set of Dice (D20, D12, D10, D8, D6, D4) A Measuring Tape

Structure & Schedule:

Expected Play Length of Scenario for 2 People: 1-1.5 Hours Expected Play Length of Scenario for 3-4 People: 1.5 -2 Hours

The Scenario can be run either using Co-Op or Versus rules. We'll be using the standard Rules from the Corebook + relevant rule additions from the Expansion, In the Footsteps of the Mad Wizard.

Premade Warband Sheets will be provided to speed play, but Blank Sheets will also be provided for those who want to make their own Warband, and Players are welcome to bring their own Warband to play.

Etiquette:

Forbidden Psalm is an incredibly deadly, but fun Skirmish Game. Regardless of whether or not it is Versus or Co-Op play, we're here to have fun so remember there's no tolerance for bullying, harassment, or bigotry of any kind.
