RPG ALLIANCE 2026 ONE-PAGE ADVENTURE JAM & CONTEST

Create an adventure. Fit it on one page. Make it unforgettable!
RPG Alliance invites writers, Game Runners, and RPG enthusiasts to create an original, playable tabletop RPG adventure inspired by this year's theme:
What is the last thing left? And what happens when someone comes looking for it?
The "blank" is yours to fill.
The Last Dragon.
The Last Starship.
The Last City.
The Last Treasure.
The Last Slice of Pizza.
Fantasy, science fiction, horror, historical, modern, comedy, or something completely unexpected—the choice is yours.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a system-neutral, home brew or system-specific tabletop RPG adventure designed to be played in approximately 2–4 hours.
Everything the Game Runner needs to run the adventure must fit on one page: Maps, NPCs, monster statistics, random tables, illustrations, locations, encounters, secrets, and notes are all allowed—but they must fit on the same page.
CONTEST RULES
1) One Entry per person.
2) One page means one side of one letter size page.
3) Minimum Font Size is 9 point.
4) Title & Author
Every submission must include:
RPGA-2026 in the file title and the Author's name or chosen RPG handle name.
For example: RPGA-2026-The Last Dragon-Jane The Hammer Smith.pdf
5) Any System:
- You can based your adventure on any existing system, or a homebrew of your own, or it can be system neutral. Whatever works for you.
6) Original Work:
Your adventure must be your own original creation.
You may create adventures for existing RPG systems, but submissions must not reproduce copyrighted material, such as text, artwork, maps, or other proprietary material belonging to someone else.
Short references to published game mechanics are fine where necessary to explain how your adventure works. When in doubt, create your own.
7) Artificial Intelligence Policy
This is a human creativity challenge, so please do not use generative AI to create your adventure.
This rule operates on the honour system. We trust our RPG Alliance community to respect the spirit of the contest and submit their own creative work. By entering the contest, you are confirming that your submission is your own work and was not created using generative AI.

11) Deadline: October 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM MT
- Entries may be revised or replaced at any time before the deadline. Only the final version received before the deadline will be judged.
12) The Theme:
Entries should meaningfully incorporate: THE LAST ...
Creative interpretations are encouraged. You don't have to take the theme literally!
13) Copyright & Intellectual Property:
Submissions must not violate copyright, trademark, or intellectual-property rights.
Do not include copyrighted artwork, maps, logos, or text unless you have permission to use them.
14) RPG ALLIANCE RESERVES THE RIGHT to disqualify any submissions that do not meet community standards or for any other cause.
15) This contest is OPEN to anyone but BE AWARE the prizes are from a Friendly Local Gaming Store in Calgary Canada. If you are one of the WINNERS but are unable to physically come to Calgary to collect the prizes then you forfeit them, but you may retain your WINNER status for this Adventure Jam at the discretion of the RPGA Organizers.
16) Honorary Entries! You want to participate in the jam part but not the contest part because you are a judge or a RPGA Organizer or just someone who does not care about the winning part, but you do want your adventure to be included in the RPGA 2026 Jam Collection compilation. If this is your situation than your entry will NOT be included in the Judging or People's Choice contests, but will be posted and available to the community to enjoy. So when you make your submission include the word "Honorary" in the title, for example For example: RPGA-2026-Honorary-The Last Dragon-Jane The Hammer Smith.pdf
JUDGING
After the submission deadline, the RPG Alliance judging panel will review all eligible entries. Each adventure will be scored using the following criteria:

| Creativity — Does it contain interesting and original ideas? | 20 |
| Use of Theme — Does it make an imaginative use of the theme? | 20 |
| Fun Factor — Does it look like an adventure players would enjoy? | 20 |
| Presentation — Is the page clear, readable, and well organized? | 15 |
| TOTAL | 100 |
THE JUDGES' CHOICE
The judges will select a shortlist of finalists for the People's Choice to vote on.
The judges will make their own Judges' Choice Winner from that shortlist, and their decision is final.
PEOPLE'S CHOICE
Following the judges' review, the shortlist finalists will be presented to the RPG Alliance community for a People's Choice vote.
The community will be asked: "Which of these adventures would YOU most like to play?"
The adventure receiving the most votes will win the People's Choice Award.
An adventure may win both the Judges' Choice and People's Choice awards.
PRIZES
The Winners will be announced shortly BEFORE the RPGA-Con Nov 21-22, 2026.
JUDGES' CHOICE — $100 SENTRY BOX Gift Card (A Calgary FLGS).
PEOPLE'S CHOICE — $50 SENTRY BOX Gift Card.
THE RPG ALLIANCE ADVENTURE COLLECTION
With the author's permission, eligible submissions may be collected, published and shared as part of an RPG Alliance One-Page Adventure Collection.
The goal isn't simply to find a winner. We want to create a library of short adventures that Game Runners can actually use at their tables. We may even self-print these adventures to be given away as prizes at future RPGA events.
By entering, you give RPG Alliance permission to share your submitted adventure for non-commercial community purposes, while you retain ownership of your original work.
MOST OF ALL... HAVE FUN!
Don't worry about creating the "perfect" adventure.
A great one-page adventure doesn't need a complicated plot, dozens of NPCs, or pages of lore.
Give us:
A great hook.
An interesting problem.
Meaningful choices.
Something memorable.
Then see how much adventure you can fit onto one page.
