Kristine and I will be staying with the rest of the BGG'ers at the Select Hotel Handelshof in Essen. We plan on staying there through Sunday night and taking an express train to Paris on Monday. I will arrange a group rail ticket purchase later this summer.
You will be able to purchase tickets to SPIEL '23 starting in August.
I plan on organizing a group dinner Sunday night for those that will be in Essen as a "get to know you" kick-off. Details tbd...
Kristine and I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. We will be staying there through Wednesday night and taking the Eurostar express train to London on Thursday. I will arrange a group rail ticket purchase later this summer.
Additional Paris activities are still to be determined.
We have a group contract set up at the Hyatt Place London City East - close to the train station and fun things to see and do. Our group rate is £230/night and that includes VAT, as well as breakfast each morning.
We are arriving Thursday afternoon and obviously checking out Sunday morning, getting on a pre-arranged bus for the 1-2 hour ride out to the port in Southampton.
Additional London activities are still to be determined.
I have to admit it's been a complete nightmare trying to get group shore excursions confirmed with the Royal Caribbean department in charge of such.
For our smaller group on this sailing I'm inclined to just say that everyone find something that interests you and we'll share experiences once we get back onboard together. Feel free to discuss in our thread on BGG or our private Facebook Group.
