What is the Omaha Gaming Convention?

The Omaha Gaming Convention is a board gaming-centric event for both novices and hobbyists. It exists to bring people together to learn new titles, meet fellow gamers, and most importantly, play games!

Who’s running the show?

Rooted in three years of collaboration, Our Family Plays Games (OFPG) and The Board Game Wagon (BGW) decided to launch this convention. Together, they’ve hosted numerous successful game nights and other board game events in Omaha. They have participated in conventions locally and across the country. As industry professionals and dedicated hobbyists, they know what they want from a board game convention and it is their goal to deliver that experience with OGC.

Why Omaha?

Omaha’s board-gaming community is vibrant and growing, and it deserves a convention that mirrors its strength and spirit. This event does exactly that.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to host Omaha’s premier board-gaming convention. An annual, game-first gathering in the heart of the Midwest where hobbyists and newcomers from around the world feel welcomed to play, learn, and belong. We uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion as paramount values. We are striving to deliver positive tabletop experiences at every turn and provide a safe space for individuals and families from all walks of life to come together and have fun.

Why support the Omaha Gaming Convention?

Because we’re building a board game-first, welcoming convention for Omaha—one that’s accessible, inclusive, diverse, approachable, and (most importantly) fun. Led by Our Family Plays Games (OFPG) and The Board Game Wagon (BGW), this event expands representation in the Midwest and showcases the strength of Omaha’s gaming community.
