Omaha Gaming Convention 2026

Omaha Gaming Convention Attendee FAQ

Event basics

Where is the convention being held?

Omaha Gaming Convention will be held at EVEN Hotel Omaha Downtown – Old Market, located at 2220 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The venue’s public hotel information confirms the address, free Wi-Fi, indoor pool, on-site restaurant, 24/7 market, and shuttle service, while the existing attendee FAQ establishes the convention as a Friday-through-Sunday event based at the hotel.

What are the convention dates and overall hours?

Convention activity begins Friday at 12:00 PM and the event concludes Sunday at 6:00 PM.

What are the registration desk hours?

· Friday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

· Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

· Sunday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

If you arrive outside desk hours and already know where you need to be, your next-best help route is the convention support chain: Convention Manager Jayson Ross first, then OGC volunteers wearing vests, then the OGC Discord channel for updates, player matching, and general help.

Will convention shirts be available?

Yes. There will be a limited number of convention shirts available for purchase, and OFPG shirts will also be sold while supplies last.

Comfort, access, and attendee support

Will there be complimentary coffee, water, and Wi-Fi?

Yes. Complimentary coffee all day and water stations throughout the event, and the hotel publicly states that free Wi-Fi is available. This is one of those conventions where it makes sense to carry a bottle, refill often, and treat coffee as a perk rather than an emergency plan.

What should I know about restrooms?

The women’s restroom on the main floor uses a code, and that code will be provided on site through convention communication, registration, or staff help; restrooms on the upper floors near the gaming area do not require a code.

Is there a pool at the hotel for hotel guests?

Yes. The EVEN Hotel Omaha Downtown – Old Market has an indoor pool. The pool is open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM during the convention weekend for hotel guests.

If I need help fast, what is the best order of contact?

The clearest attendee-facing support language is:* Jayson Ross, OGC Convention Manager, is the first point of contact*. If Jayson is not immediately available, look for OGC volunteers wearing convention vests. If you need updates, player matching, or operational help from your phone, use the OGC Discord channel.

Food, drinks, and hotel dining

What food is available inside the hotel?

The hotel’s on-site restaurant is EVEN Kitchen & Bar, located in the lobby. The public hotel dining page lists it as an American restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, and the hotel overview also notes a 24/7 market for snacks and essentials. Public dining hours currently list breakfast 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday; dinner is listed at 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily.

What is on the EVEN Kitchen & Bar menu?

Breakfast highlights include vegetable omelet, egg white brioche, avocado toast, classic oatmeal, two eggs your way, Western poblano omelet, bacon egg and cheese biscuit, Belgian waffle, and a steak-and-egg bowl. Dinner highlights include Caprese salad, oven-baked shrimp, apple and brie flatbread, steak flatbread, mozzarella chicken sandwich, Southwest salad, original burger, Cobb salad, roasted chicken wings, steak skewers, mac and cheese, roasted broccoli, chocolate mousse cake, and apple tart.

Is there a happy hour?

Yes. The EVEN Hotel Happy Hour for convention guests is 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with drinks 25% off.

What are the best nearby off-site dining areas?

For off-site options, the most important nearby district is the Old Market, which Nebraska Tourism describes as Omaha’s historic arts-and-entertainment district, with over 40 restaurants, over 20 bars and taverns, and a dense cluster of local independent businesses. That makes it the most practical all-purpose neighborhood for attendees who want a meal, a coffee break, casual browsing, or a change of scenery between gaming.

Gaming areas, library, vendors, and Play to Win

What are the game library hours?

· Friday: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM

· Saturday: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM

· Sunday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

There will be an after-hours drop-off bin near the library for game returns. Play to Win entries may not be turned in after hours. If you are using the library at the end of the night, regular game returns can use the drop bin, but Play to Win submissions must be turned in before the library closes each day.

What are the Hot Games hours and featured titles?

The Hot Games hours are:

· Friday: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

· Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

· Sunday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Featured Hot Games are Wonderous Creatures with the new Winterfall Expansion, Lairs, JinxO, Moon Colony Bloodbath, and Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship.

What are vendor hall hours? The vendor hours as:

· Friday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

· Saturday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

· Sunday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Vendors are guaranteed to be open until 6:00 PM, while any hours from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM are optional.

How does Play to Win work?

There will be Play to Win games. Entries must be turned in by 2:00 PM on Sunday, with the drawing at 4:00 PM on Sunday. For the updated attendee version, add the organizer rules that attendees must be at least 16 years old to win a Play to Win game, only one Play to Win game may be won per person, and there is no after-hours Play to Win turn-in. If you want to enter, do not assume you can “drop it off later.” Get it in while the library is staffed and open.

Transportation, airport shuttle, and parking

Is there an airport shuttle? What should I do when I land?

Yes. The hotel has complimentary airport shuttle to Eppley Airfield operating from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. When you arrive at the airport, call the EVEN Hotel at +1-402-345-3836 after you land and are ready for pickup.

Is there a shuttle to the Old Market?

Yes. There will be a shuttle available on all three days to take attendees to the Old Market, and the hotel’s transportation page also confirms a complimentary local shuttle operating daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM within a three-mile radius.

What about parking?

Complimentary on-site parking is available for Omaha Gaming Convention attendees as an organizer-arranged event benefit.

What if the hotel lot is full?

If the on-site lot reaches capacity, the best nearby public options identified in official downtown parking information are metered street parking, the 15th & Howard surface lot, the OPPD Energy Plaza garage at 1666 Howard Street, and the Omaha Park Eight garage at 13th & Dodge / 12th & Capitol. Ticket Omaha’s parking page also confirms that downtown meters generally run 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday, with Sundays and holidays free.

Will construction affect arrival?

Yes, potentially. Official downtown parking guidance warns that 14th Street is closed between Douglas and Farnam and that the Farnam Street bridge is closed until December 2026. The attendee-friendly advice is to arrive early, allow extra time, and check live navigation before your final approach downtown.

What about accessible parking and drop-off?

The hotel’s parking page states that it offers accessible self-parking, van-accessible self-parking, four wheelchair-accessible parking spaces, flat terrain between parking and entrance, and a drop-off point adjacent to the entrance. If someone in your group needs the easiest arrival, use the entrance drop-off first and park afterward.

Nearby essentials, shipping, and downtown options

Where can attendees grab basics, quick groceries, or small forgotten items?

Inside the hotel, the simplest backup option is the 24/7 market noted on the hotel overview page, which is useful for snacks and small essentials between games. Nearby there is a Walgreens, Kohll’s Rx, and Chubby’s in the Old Market for quick grocery and convenience runs. Hours for those nearby stops can change, so attendees should confirm the current schedule in their map app before heading out.

What if I buy too many games and want to ship them home?

We understand, it happens at every great gaming convention!

Because shipping-provider locations and weekend hours may vary, attendees are encouraged to pack their purchases securely and ask the EVEN Hotel front desk, OGC Convention Manager Jayson Ross, or an OGC volunteer wearing a vest for assistance locating a currently open USPS, UPS, or FedEx shipping location.

Whenever possible, plan your shipment before Sunday afternoon rather than waiting until the convention ends. Bring or purchase a sturdy box, packing tape, and protective material, and keep receipts for any valuable games. Attendees may also purchase shipping postage online and arrange for an eligible carrier pickup or drop-off, depending on the services available at the time.

OGC cannot package, store, insure, or ship games on an attendee’s behalf, but staff can help point you toward current local options.

*What nearby places are good for a short break from the convention floor? *

If you want fresh air without losing your whole evening,* Gene Leahy Mall* is one of the best nearby breaks. The RiverFront’s official site describes it as the most urban of the riverfront parks, stretching between 13th and 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam, and it lists park hours as 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The same source also notes that the riverfront sits centrally between the historic Old Market and north downtown and is a short walk from several hotels.
