The Children's Shelter's mission is to provide an atmosphere of safety and comfort for children who have been displaced from their homes through no fault of their own.
They provide 24-hour emergency temporary residential care to victims of family violence, neglect and physical and sexual abuse. It is designed to meet the needs of children by providing them with an immediate, safe environment until a suitable relative or foster care becomes available.
The shelter has served more than 1,000 children since it opened its doors in 2009.
