Play to Win has been a staple at Midwinter for a very long time, and we are happy to continue this track for the 2025 show!
How does it work?
You can find our Play to Win track in the Lake Country Ballroom. These games are available for check-out at the Board Game Desk, where you will turn in an ID for the time you have each game. Your ID will be returned to you when you return the game. (IDs are safely stored, with Midwinter Staff at all times, and no information is recorded or used)
A selection of games will be available Thursday-Saturday, and a separate selection of games will be available on Sunday. Last Call for game check-out will be 2 hours before the room closes (10pm Thurs-Sat) or 2 hours before winners are announced (2pm Sun).
Winners will be selected at random, and you do need to be present to pick up your titles. Thurs-Sat winners will be available at the Board Game Desk beginning at 8am on Saturday. Sunday winners will be available by 4pm. All winners must pick up their titles no later than 5:30pm on Sunday.
New for 2025, we will be adding Thursday to our Daily Drawing rotation!
Each day of the show, we will have a drawing for a fantastic swag bag full of gaming goodness. This drawing is open to everyone at the show, and we have multiple ways to gain entries.
Each day will feature a different colored ticket, and each color is only valid for that day. For example, if green is Thursday's color, they must be used on Thursday and will not be valid for any other day's drawing.
ALL Midwinter Guests will receive one entry per day. Please stop by Convention Registration in the Lake Country Foyer each day to receive your daily ticket.
Additional entries may be earned as follows:
GMs running 8-15 hours of events receive an extra entry each day. GMs running 16 or more hours receive two extra entries each day.
Participate in a Creator/Designer Run Event while at the show.
Play a game from our In-House Board Game Library (Not Play to Win)
Receive one (1) ticket for every $20 spent with Vendors in our Exhibit Hall (Fri-Sun only)
All tickets should be turned in to the Raffle Drum located at Convention Registration in the Lake Country Foyer.
Winners will be selected at random, you do NOT need to be present to win. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday winners will be announced at 6:30pm, and our Sunday winner will be announced at 4:30pm. Winners will be announced via social media and we will contact each winner via the email provided in TableTop.Events. You may also stop by Convention Registration to see each day's winner.
