If you are considering submitting events as a GM DO NOT purchase your pass.
The Exhibit Hall is not open to the public, purchased admission is required to access all areas of the convention. Thank You for your support!
Outside Food & Beverage may not be consumed in the convention spaces. Only food purchased within The Ingleside is allowed. If you want to consume food/beverages brought in or delivered, you will need to consume them in your hotel room.
Buy your admission in advance: Reservations are not required and admission will be sold at Convention Registration every day of the show based on availability, but save yourself some time and Register beforehand. Registration will open at 8:00am Thurs 8:30am Fri-Sun and will close at 8pm on Thurs-Sat, 2pm on Sun.
Plan ahead: Make sure you snag a seat at the events you want by registering ahead of time. Event Registration will open October 6th for Jump the Line packages, and October 20th for all other admissions types, including GMs (10 AM CST for all).
Get ready to join a game! You can sign up ahead of time and secure your seat, or see what’s available while you’re at the show. Our website will give up to the minute information on how many seats are available at each game, but you can also look for the “Players Wanted” signs on tables that are looking for more people. See a game you really want to play but it’s full? Stop by the table before the event is set to begin. Sometimes space will open up if players don’t show, and sometimes a GM will be able to accommodate. It’s worth a try, but always be prepared to find another event if you’re not able to be seated.
Where are the games located? Gaming will take place throughout the meeting space of The Ingleside Hotel. This includes the first floor and four spaces on the second floor (accessible by staircase or elevator). Rooms will play host to a variety of game types, but if you are looking for the big boardgame room head on over to the Lake Country Ballroom for both scheduled events as well as our Play to Win track.
Consider cash for the Exhibit Hall and purchasing merch from Convention Regsitration. Cards are of course accepted but may carry a service charge/convenience fee.
Where are the video games? Midwinter is an “analog” gaming convention, focusing on in-person, face to face events. Video games are not a part of our scheduled events for the weekend.
What kind of food is available? The Ingleside will offer concessions and their normal menu at DiDi's Supper Club. Please note, outside food and beverages are not permitted in any convention meeting space. Any food or beverage purchased within The Ingelside is permitted. Refillable water bottles are welcomed, please stay hydrated!
What about Open Gaming? We have tables available throughout the event space for Open Gaming, and dedicated tables in the Lake Country Ballroom and Foyer for Open Gaming and Play to Win. The Lake Country Ballroom and Foyer will close at Midnight each night.
Midwinter Gaming Convention Wristbands include Convention Admission ONLY, Waterpark passes may be purchased separately through The Ingleside.
