Prospective volunteers should first read the guidelines below.
What GTEX provides:
- One free volunteer t-shirt (if you work at least one shift).
- One Weekend Pass to GTEX 2019 (if you work at least 4 shifts = 12 hours).

- Volunteers are not allowed to participate in events while working, but are eligible to participate like any other attendee when off duty.
- Tasks required of volunteers include the following sorts of activities:
- Checking badges at entry doors (chair provided so you aren’t standing the whole time).
- Working in the board game library to facilitate game check-in/out.
- Working a snack stand (pre-packaged snacks and drinks only, no food prep).
- The first and last shift of the con may be asked to help set/collect tablecloths and numbered table stands.
- Given the size and scope of GTEX 2019, it is not expected that volunteers will need to lift anything more than a few pounds nor walk any significant distance while on shift.
- Our Volunteer Manager will arrange to check on you periodically to facilitate bio breaks and the like.
- Please notify us in your application if you have any special circumstances of which you think we need to be aware.
