It's 1984 in the town of Pleasant, Alberta. 12-year-old Cory Settler vanishes mysteriously from the county fair. Cory’s older sister searches for him alongside her crush and her best friend, while Cory’s young friends launch an investigation of their own. Shadowy government agents seek to cover up the unspeakable horrors that wait. Stranger Dread is a scenario for Dread, a horror roleplaying game that uses a Jenga tower instead of dice.
