Coulee Con 2020 Online

Badge sales are now open! Badges are $10 for the weekend. A portion of each badge sale will be donated to the Coulee Con 2020 Team benefitting our local CMN Hospital, Gundersen Health System. Attendees are also encouraged to join the Coulee Con Team.

Greetings Coulee Con Community,

After consultation with a number of different individuals, we have made the decision to run Coulee Con 2020 as an online convention. This was not an easy decision to make, but we believe it is in the best interest of our community to do so. We hope to actively engage the community in planning the online convention and welcome feedback and ideas. If you or your gaming group would like to participate, please contact us! Here are a few initial details:

• Our goals for Coulee Con 2020 Online are:
  • Support our fledgling nonprofit Coulee Gamers, Inc.
  • Support Children’s Miracle Network
  • Support local vendors, artists, makers, etc.
• Dates will be the same as originally planned: Aug 14-16, 2020.
• Badges will be $10. A portion of every badge sale will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network.
• Registration and event scheduling will be managed thorough our Tabletop.events site https://tabletop.events/conventions/coulee-con-2020
• Communication during the convention will take place via the Coulee Con Discord server Join the CouleeCon Discord Server!
• We are planning the following special events:
  • A virtual vendor hall on the Discord server.
  • Daily drawings on the Discord server throughout the weekend.
  • A new gamer event.
• We are also hoping to:
  • Run a live stream during the weekend that will feature interviews and events.
  • Run a Minecraft server(s) with building competition and/or survival competition.
• Timeline
  • Event submission is now open. Anyone who schedules at least 8 hours of events will get a free badge.
  • Badge sales and game sign-up will both be open by early July.

We anticipate this may be the first online convention for many and our goal will be to support newcomers and veterans alike. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding to the website, posting updates with more information on how things will be set up, and providing ideas for events. Finally, regarding Coulee Con 2021, we have reserved the La Crosse Center for August 13-15, 2021.
