What the goose does Survivinator entail?

Think of it like an RPG, but the role you're playing is yourself. Eighteen (18) competitors will be split into two teams - called tribes - to compete in challenges that will test everyone's smarts and skills. Some challenges are team focused, some are individual focused. The losing tribe must vote someone off of their tribe after finding out the results of each challenge. This is where each competitor must use their social cunning - you'll have to form alliances with your closest friends you make during the competition. You also may have to resort to other more unscrupulous methods to claw your way to the top - maybe you'll tell one competitor something but tell another something different. Maybe you'll promise someone safety but actually have the intent to vote them off. Or maybe it will all backfire and everyone will realize how unscrupulous you are. Competitors will each have their own text channel - called their Confessional - where they can document their thoughts for the viewers of the competition to dive deep into their strategy. Drama (of the silly, unserious kind) is highly encouraged for everyone's viewing pleasure - but read on for more information about the rules to see just how dramatic is too dramatic.

I want to compete! How do I do that?

You will need to apply here. We'll select competitors and then email them with instructions. We will also place some applicants on standby in case anyone backs out.

I don't want to compete but I want to watch. Tell me about the audience features.

If you don't want to compete or aren't selected to compete, you will still be able to participate as an audience member. Audience members (called Spectators) can see everything about the competition so they can discuss it amongst other spectators. Spectators can also participate in fun minigames of their own! No matter what role you decide to take, Survivinator is for you.

How long is this competition?

The competition lasts the entire length of Con OFF the Cob. However, you are encouraged to also take part in other activities at the convention. IMPORTANT NOTE - Talking about the competition as a competitor outside of the official Survivinator category will result in your expulsion from the competition. Also, giving a competitor information will result in that competitor being removed from the competition and potentially the giver of information being removed from the server.

It is, but it's online, and it's not affiliated with the real life show.

Will I actually be making enemies? I thought the whole point of Con OFF the Cob is to make friends!

While you may have to resort to certain methods to claw your way to the top, you must remember that this is all for fun. Any competitor who takes the drama too far will be removed from the competition and, depending on the severity, could face bans from Con OFF the Cob/Con on the Cob/Oddmall. Also, if you are voted off, you must agree to not take it too seriously.

Can my friend and I compete together?

Yes, you may compete with a friend/relative/lover/foe, but please remember there can only be one winner. Also, this could put you at a disadvantage if you reveal your friendship to people.
