T-shirts, Event Submissions, ProtoAlley

Less than two Months!!! Let's fill in our pixelated picture of BGG.Spring with some information. Within the next several weeks, we'll be sending out regular updates with information regarding Events, Exhibitors, and other random details to help you prepare for BGG.Spring!!! A reminder to share this information with anyone whose badge is tied to your Tabletop.Events (TTE) account.

So here's the first few pixels:

T-Shirt Preorder

You've probably seen our amazing T-shirt image when you purchased your badge. We are taking pre-orders from now until APRIL 12.

Pre-orders will be taken until APRIL 12. While we will have a few additional shirts available for purchase at BGG.Spring, we will not guarantee size availability. They can be purchased HERE.

Attendee Scheduled Event Submissions

We've loaded our BGG-Sponsored events into the schedule with more to come and are now ready to start taking submissions for Attendee/Exhibitor Scheduled Games.

Some number of our breakout rooms will have schedulable tables in them for you to reserve for a game. This will be accomplished using the Events/Scheduling system on Tabletop.Events which includes the following options, so please read the linked documentation for full details:

  1. Reserved seats for hosts, if requested.
  2. Reserved seats for other players in private games, if requested (Other players should be on the host's TTE Account Friends list).
  3. Ability to request boardroom size tables, or multiple tables through Special Requests/Accommodations.

Regarding BoardRoom Table Requests - Table space is resource management game - We have LOTS of open gaming tables and should have plenty of space to play at any given time. Boardroom tables are extremely limited resources and are not to be scheduled as "private group rooms" to play a variety of games but rather the playing of a single game that requires either lots of seats at the table or requires a lot of "real estate" (i.e. table space). Please be mindful of others.

Also, during the convention, if a numbered table is not currently "scheduled" (check signage on site), it is available for open gaming while it is unscheduled. But you are required to move when the next event is scheduled.

Exhibitor/Publisher/Designer Demos - UPDATED

Exhibitors/Publishers are welcome to schedule demos that can be done WITHIN their booth space through the above Event Submission process. When choosing "Event Type" please choose "Exhibitor Events".

If Exhibitors/Publishers that currently have a booth would like to run a demo OUTSIDE of their booth, they may request this twice per day, also as "Exhibitor Events" for the event type.

If someone (Designer/Exhibitor) with financial interest in a game (either in development, or not yet available for public sale) would like to run multiple demos, but they do not want to purchase a booth, they may want to consider ProtoAlley (see below) or the Event Sponsorship.

(Questions, please email events@boardgamegeek.com)

ProtoAlley - NEW for BGG.Spring

Due to several requests we have received from designers, we are introducing a ProtoAlley event for BGG.Spring. ProtoAlley will be offered SUNDAY, May 25 in Fort Worth room in which budding or experienced game designers can playtest, revise, review update their game designs. This is also the event in which any attendee can walk in and assist with playtesting and provide feedback and help these amazing designers have a successful new game. Unlike our Fall event which is hosted by Unpub, this event will be self-managed.

The general guidelines are below:

  • Games must not be for public sale (either crowdfunding sites or through other distribution channels)
  • Games can be in any stage of development
  • Submit your prototype information through the Prototypes menu option (Attend > Prototypes) (Instructions HERE).
  • Submit an event to select your time slot (See instructions above for event submissions) for your demos using the "ProtoAlley" event type.

Ticket Availability

Ticket Sales (i.e. "Seats at the Table") are open for purchase now for most* BGG Sponsored Events and all Attendee Scheduled Events, as they are scheduled.

You can review ticket purchase instructions HERE and HERE.

Please note: Tabletop.Events uses terms like "Ticket Sales" and "Checkout" because it supports conventions with ticketed/non-free events. All BGG.Spring 2025 events are free - no purchase required (other than your convention badge), but you still need to complete a "cart checkout" process per the system guidelines.

* Ticket Sales for BoardGame Bazaar, and Virtual Flea Market will open once we have coordinated with the event hosts

Hotel Room Availability

Finally, a quick reminder that hotel rooms are still available here. (You may need to wait a second or two after the page initially loads for the page to update with the rooms that are available.)
