PeliCON registration

Do I need a TableTop.Events (TTE) account to purchase badges and/or tickets?

• Yes, a TTE account is necessary for registration and purchasing of badges and tickets. Check out this page for information on creating an account.

Badges and Tickets

What is the difference between a badge and a ticket?

• A badge is required to gain access to PeliCON. It allows you to be identified, to check games out of the Con library, to be automatically entered into prize drawings and giveaways, to check out and register for Play-to-Win games, to sign up for scheduled events and access the various areas of the convention venue.

• A ticket is the term used to describe signing up for one of our hosted events. This could be a learn-to-play, a scheduled game session or tournament or any other Vendor-hosted event. Some tickets will be free of charge but most will have a small fee associated (typically between $1-10 based on the complexity and/or length of the game) that goes to the vendor running the event for their assistance with the Con. You are only allowed one ticket per event for each badge and there are certain other restrictions on tickets to prevent accidentally double-booking yourself or reserving all the seats in games to ensure you "win" a tournament.

• Ticket costs, if any, will not be refunded if you choose to no-show a given game/event.

Badges/Tickets for friends

• You are allowed to purchase badges for you and your friends on your TTE account. Please review the Friend system for purchasing and giving badges and tickets to your friends.

• Please note: If your friends do not have TTE accounts, you will need to "buy" any tickets for attendee scheduled games for them and they will not be able to sign up through the TTE system to volunteer in the library.

Badge Transfers

• Badges are non-sharable. They are fully transferable via the Friend system. Please note the Badge Edit Deadline - 31 January 2025. Badges transferred to anyone after this deadline will NOT have the badge name printed correctly.

General

Is the convention suitable for children?

• YES! We want the entire family to enjoy the PeliCON and as such the convention is suitable for all ages, subject to their maturity level. We will strive to have games suitable for a large range of age groups in our game library however we cannot guarantee the abundance of games specifically aimed at children and it will be up to the parent's discretion as to whether their child(ren) are sufficiently capable of enjoying the games and events available.

• Also, please note we do not have any on site childcare. Your children are your responsibility at all times and children must be accompanied by an adult AT ALL TIMES while at the convention.

May I bring my own games?

• Absolutely! There will be a section of tables devoted to "free play" that will allow you to bring your own games and recruit players. Make some new friends (or bring your own) and play one of your favorites while waiting on the next tournament or scheduled play! We will also have a collection of games available to play from the convention library as well but you are completely welcome to bring any of your own games to play.

Will there be vendors at the convention?

• Yes, there will be vendors at the convention and we will keep attendees updated on the who's who as they come aboard!

How does the game library work?

• The game library will include a large selection of board games that you will be able to check out and play. You can check out as many games as you want during the convention however you will be limited to checking only one game out at a time. You will be free to browse all the titles and take your selection to the checkout desk. Your convention badge is required for checking out games. Our only request is that you do not "camp" any of the newer/hotter games (i.e. do not keep them longer than it would reasonably take to play a learning game) to allow everyone a chance to play.

Do you have a list of games in the game library?

• Our complete list of available games is listed on the convention site HERE and we will continue to update it as we have more sponsor participation. We want everyone to have fun so if you have a particular game (or scheduled play/tournament) that you would like to see featured please let us know by emailing us at info@thepelicon.com. We cannot make any guarantees but we will do our best to make it happen.

Can I host a game or volunteer?

• Yes! We will be opening up the volunteer portal and the ability to submit a request to host game/games in the near future. Check back with us soon!

Venue

Is there a special room rate for the convention?

• Yes. The hotel has provided a promotional rate for convention attendees. Please use this link to register for your hotel stay or hop over to our Hotel Information page to book your room.

Is food and drink allowed in the venue?

• No outside food or drink is allowed in the main game hall but the convention center will be selling food and beverages inside the convention center. Additionally, there are several restaurants within walking distance on the Seawall and in close proximity after a short drive/taxi to The Strand district.

Parking/Transportation from The Galveston Hilton Resort:

• For attendees who choose to drive their own vehicle directly to the convention center, a 700 space parking garage is located under the convention center. Parking is complementary.

• For attendees staying at the Galveston Hilton Resort, the Convention Center will send a shuttle.

Refunds

Refunds for badges purchased on TTE can be refunded the full amount minus any associated fees (payment processing and TTE support) up until 31 January 2025. See HERE for refund instructions.
