Tabletop Adventure Con — No Harassment Policy
Tabletop Adventure Con is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone—including attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, game masters, guests, staff, and venue personnel.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy games, meet new people, make friends, and participate in the convention without fear of harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or unwanted behavior.
Harassment Is Not Welcome
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated at Tabletop Adventure Con. This includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment is unacceptable regardless of intent. Being intended as a joke, having "just been playing around," or not realizing that behavior was unwelcome does not excuse continued inappropriate conduct.
Respect Personal Boundaries
Everyone has the right to set personal boundaries.
If someone asks you to stop a behavior, leave them alone, give them space, or otherwise indicates that your interaction is unwelcome, respect their request immediately.
Likewise, attendees should respect the boundaries of game masters, volunteers, exhibitors, staff, guests, and other convention participants.
Consent Matters
Consent must be clear and freely given. This applies to physical contact, romantic interaction, photography, recording, and other forms of personal interaction.
No means no. Stop means stop. Silence or lack of resistance does not mean consent.
Weapons and Threats
Threatening another person, displaying a weapon in a threatening manner, or using any prop or game component to threaten or intimidate another person is prohibited.
All weapons and weapon-like props must comply with the convention's weapons and costume policies, as well as applicable laws and venue requirements.
All Weapons must be plastic, foam, and partially made of wood. All prop guns must be clearly marked with an orange tip to the barrel.
Reporting a Problem
If you experience or witness harassment or behavior that violates this policy, please report it to a Tabletop Adventure Con staff member, volunteer, or convention organizer as soon as you feel safe doing so.
When possible, provide:
Any other information that may help us respond appropriately.
You do not need to confront the person involved before making a report.
How We Respond
Tabletop Adventure Con will take reports seriously and will make reasonable efforts to address reported incidents promptly and appropriately.
Depending on the circumstances, convention organizers may:
Tabletop Adventure Con reserves the right to take action based on the circumstances of an incident, even if the behavior does not precisely fit one of the examples listed in this policy.
No Retaliation
Retaliation against anyone who makes a good-faith report, participates in an investigation, or helps another person report an incident is prohibited.
False Reports
Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly making a false report or intentionally providing false information may itself be considered a violation of this policy.
Our Shared Responsibility
A great convention depends on everyone doing their part.
Be respectful. Respect boundaries. Ask for consent. Give people space when they ask for it. Speak up when something isn't right.
Tabletop Adventure Con is a place to roll dice, tell stories, discover new games, and build a community. Let's keep it fun for everyone.
By attending Tabletop Adventure Con, you agree to follow this No Harassment Policy and the convention's Code of Conduct.
