SLVRPG Con 2026

General rules

  1. You must have a paid badge for the SLVRPG convention in order to compete (https://tabletop.events/conventions/slvrpg-con-2026).
  2. Present yourself at the desk to register for the Cosplay / Ccstume contest on Sunday, June 14, 2026 between 3 and 4 PM. Voting by the members of the SLVRPG Committee will happen at 5PM.
  3. Convention staff and volunteers may not enter the Cosplay / Costume Contest.
  4. Contestants under the age of 18 need a parent or legal guardian present at the cosplay competition to sign a waiver in order for that contestant to compete in the Cosplay / Costume contest.
  5. The Cosplay / Costume contest is a family-friendly event. All material must be PG-13. Costumes must be tasteful and cover appropriate areas of the body. All costumes must cover "swimsuit areas" – no nudity. Body-paint costumes are not eligible.
  6. Shoes must be worn in public areas of the convention for your own safety.
  7. What is illegal outside the convention is still illegal inside the convention.
  8. Profanity and anything deemed racially or culturally offensive will not be allowed. Politically charged and/or discriminatory cosplays or props will not be allowed.
  9. SLVRPG’s Cosplay / Costume Contest is focused on craftsmanship. The required percentage of elements of a contestant's costume that has been made is determined by your class. Fully purchased costumes are only allowed as showcase pieces.
  10. Contestants may enter only one costume into the competition.
  11. Contestants are allowed to have someone model their costume, but the crafter must register for the Costume Contest and be present for prejudging. If the costume receives an award, the award recipient will be the crafter, not the model.
  12. The contest is open to characters from published works—this includes movies, TV shows, comic books, cartoons, video games, and TTRPG games. Original interpretations (e.g., Steampunk Batman) are also accepted. You may also create a fantasy costume that would fit in the TTRPG world (eg., knight, fairy, space pirate).
  13. No pyrotechnics, fire, explosive devices, live animals (service animals excepted and can be an extension to the costume, not the main costume), or similar special effects can be used during the competition; this includes smoke/smog machines and flash paper/powder.
  14. Props should be carried and posed with in a way that does not inconvenience or risk injury to other attendees. All prop weapons must be checked at the registration desk.
