Event Basics
Where is the convention being held?
Omaha Gaming Convention will be held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha Downtown Old Market, located at 555 S 10th St, Omaha, Nebraska.
What are the convention dates and overall hours?
Convention activity begins Friday, July 9th 2027 at 9:00 AM and the event concludes Sunday, July 11th 2027 at 6:00 PM.
What are the registration desk hours?

If you arrive outside desk hours and already know where you need to be, your next-best help route is the convention support chain: Convention Manager Jayson Ross first, then OGC volunteers wearing vests, then the OGC Discord channel for updates, player matching, and general help.
Will convention shirts be available?
Yes. There will be a limited number of convention shirts available for purchase! There will also be OFPG shirts and OGC 2026 shirts for sale while supplies last.
Comfort, access, and attendee support
Is there a pool at the hotel for hotel guests?
Yes. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha Downtown Old Market has an indoor pool. The pool is open from 6:00 AM to midnight.
If I need help fast, what is the best order of contact?
Jayson Ross, OGC Convention Manager, is the best first point of contact. If Jayson is not immediately available, look for OGC volunteers wearing convention vests that say OGC Crew!
If you need updates, help looking for a group, or operational help from your phone, use the OGC Discord channel!
Food, drinks, and hotel dining
What food is available in the hotel?
The Embassy Suites has Pavers & Pints, the newly renovated restaurant and bar inside the hotel. It has traditional American cuisine and even offerings utilizing Omaha Steaks! You can view the menu here!
Otherwise, there is also a Starbucks cafe with pastries, sandwiches, salads, and more, open from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
What are the best nearby off-site dining areas?
For off-site options, the most important nearby district is the Old Market which has over 40 restaurants, over 20 bars and taverns! It is quite literally right across the street from the hotel, so it'll be easy to get to a place you may enjoy!

Transportation, airport shuttle, and parking
Is there an airport shuttle? What should I do when I land?
Unfortunately, no. The hotel does not have an airport shuttle; however, it is only 5 miles from the airport, which is a 9-minute ride by taxi or rideshare.

Nearby essentials, shipping, and downtown options
Where can attendees grab basics, quick groceries, or small forgotten items?
Near the hotel, there is a Walgreens, Kohl’s Rx, and Chubby’s in the Old Market for quick grocery and convenience runs. Hours for those nearby stops can change, so attendees should confirm the current schedule in their map app before heading out!
What if I buy too many games and want to ship them home?
We understand, it happens at every great gaming convention!
Because shipping-provider locations and weekend hours may vary, attendees are encouraged to pack their purchases securely and ask the Embassy Suites front desk, OGC Convention Manager Jayson Ross, or an OGC volunteer wearing a vest for assistance locating a currently open USPS, UPS, or FedEx shipping location.
Whenever possible, plan your shipment before Sunday afternoon rather than waiting until the convention ends. Bring or purchase a sturdy box, packing tape, and protective material, and keep receipts for any valuable games. Attendees may also purchase shipping postage online and arrange for an eligible carrier pickup or drop-off, depending on the services available at the time.
OGC cannot package, store, insure, or ship games on an attendee’s behalf, but staff can help point you toward current local options.
What nearby places are good for a short break from the convention floor?
If you want fresh air without losing your whole evening, the Gene Leahy Mall at the RiverFront is one of the best nearby breaks. The RiverFront stretches between 13th and 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam, and the park hours are 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM-- a great, scenic spot to relax!
