MIDWINTER CONVENTION RULES

1. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas only. The Smoker’s Oasis is located just off of the hotel lobby. Please keep public areas clean by using appropriate receptacles to dispose of your cigarettes.

2. Midwinter Gaming Convention has Event Security who are there to help everyone have a good time. Please give them the respect they deserve as they work in conjunction with Hotel Security.

3. ​Local law enforcement will receive full cooperation from Midwinter Gaming Convention in all matters. Obey all local laws.

4. Physical violence of any sort will not be tolerated.

5. Actual weapons are not allowed in the convention space at any time. Prop or replica weapons must be cleared by Event Staff. If you purchase a weapon from one of our exhibitors, the item must remain in your hotel room for the remainder of the convention.

6. Public nudity will not be tolerated. Please make sure you are able to prevent wardrobe malfunctions.

7. Flyers are not to be distributed outside of the convention space, and are not to be posted on sleeping room doors or in any public restrooms. We have a table near registration for flyers. Feel free to leave a stack there.

8. Hotel policy states that no outside food or beverage is allowed in the meeting rooms or convention space. Food and beverage purchased from inside the hotel is welcome.

9. As a guest of Midwinter Gaming Convention, you allow photography to be taken of you by the event staff for future use in publication or advertising. If you DO NOT wish to have your photo taken, please see a member of the Midwinter Gaming Convention Registration Staff.

10. Midwinter Gaming Convention is a harassment free zone and will not tolerate harassment or bullying of any kind. If you feel uncomfortable in any situation, please do not hesitate to notify a member of Event Security or Staff. We will protect your right to feel safe at our event and will investigate any situation appropriately.

11. The Hilton is a pet friendly hotel, but in consideration of everyone's comfort we must limit the presence of our furry friends to certified service animals only in the convention spaces.

12. The Hilton is a large hotel and we are not the only guests present this weekend. Please be courteous to your fellow gamers and non-gamers alike. You never know when curiosity could blossom into a new hobby.

13. Please use the stairs or escalators located off the lobby whenever possible to keep the elevators clear for those who need to use them for mobility devices and accommodations.
