Welcome to MAGCON 2021!

WE'RE BACK! We missed out on MAGCON in 2020 due to Covid, but we're back in action for 2021. Registration is now open. We will be hosting games in-person and online. For more details on the online games, please read below in the announcements.

What is MAGCON?

MAGCON is a gaming convention that focuses on board, card, and role-playing games. MAGCON's goal is to provide a great value for attendees - great games and concessions at a low price. MAGCON is a fundraiser for The Learning Center campus in New Caney ISD. All proceeds from this gaming convention go to support the The Learning Center and its educational mission.

Important announcements:

• If you paid for a badge in 2020, then you are eligible for a free badge to MAGCON 2021. Contact us via email or Facebook messenger if you want to redeem that.
• Due to ongoing Covid concerns, we will be adhering to the current New Caney ISD Covid-19 guidelines at the time of the convention. Expect to have to wear a face covering (mask or face shield), wash your hands frequently, and social distance when possible. We will supply hand sanitizer throughout the convention. Most importantly: if you are sick, stay home!
• The MAGCON Discord channel can be found HERE! This has general convention communications plus it will be hosting chats for online board game events.
• Virtual Boardgames: you will need to join the Discord HERE and also reserve your spot in the specific game on Tabletop.Events. Specific information for joining each game can be found in the event description. If you plan on attending online board games only you will need to purchase a badge for $10 using discount code: LESD-ANW4-A63M-F1AZ
• Virtual Pathfinder & Starfinder Society: Houston PFS/SFS is hosting games online only this year. They are hosting their games separately from the main MAGCON site. You will want to go HERE to join that online event.

We will have lots of tables available for open gaming. Come, bring a game or check one out from the game library, and get your game on!

DOOR PRIZE RAFFLE

We will have several door prizes to give out for those who attend in person. Games, books, and more. Door prizes will be drawn hourly on Saturday starting at 10 AM and ending at 11PM, and then again on Sunday starting at 10 AM and ending at 5 PM. You must be present to claim your prize (yes, this is to encourage you to hang out and play, and play, and play...)
