Vinhos Deluxe Edition by Vital Lacerda
Vital Lacerda games are well known for their high quality, deep strategies, heavy mechanics, and high cost. In short, they are "gamer's games." I am a big fan is his games and want to share some of his great games.
Vinhos is one of is first games, before his more popular games Lisboa, On Mars and Weather Machine. It is definitely lighter than his later, heavier games. You are a wine company who is building vineyards, releasing high-quality vintages, and, of course, selling/shipping wine. Vinhos is an economic and worker placement game.
From BGG: "As winemakers in Portugal, the players develop their vineyards and produce wine to achieve maximum profit. The object of the game is to produce quality wines that can be exchanged for money or victory points."
It is a tight, worker placement game. You only get 13 turns, so you must make your actions must count! These include planting a vineyard, expanding it with cellars and wineries, and hiring farmers & enologists. Three times during the game you will present your wines for scoring and benefits. Most VPs wins!

The Vinhos is a great game; one of my favorites. If you've been wanting to learn a Lacerda game, this is a great opportunity.
We will be playing the 2016 Deluxe Edition rules. I will teach the game if need be.
