The Hotel Block Is ALMOST FULL!

The hotel is fully booked on Thursday, February 27, and we are running low on rooms for Friday and Saturday. Click on the link at the bottom right of this page, or HERE to reserve your room! When you follow the link, be sure to change the dates to Friday & Saturday (removing Thursday) or it will tell you that there are none available.

PRE-REGISTRATION PRICING DEADLINE: JANUARY 15!!!!

Pricing after January 15 will be our At-The-Door prices. You will still be able to register online until February 16th. After February 16th, you may register at the convention.

GM PARTIES

We will be having 2 GM parties this year. For those unfamiliar they are a small gathering where you can show up and ask questions in person that you may have in regards to event submissions, along with having paper copies of event submissions if you'd rather fill it out that way and have the event coordinator enter them. Also we play some games and socialize. We have one up in the Cedar Rapids area and another down in IC so feel free to hit up the closer on, or if you really want you can attend both.

First one will be on Saturday January 11th, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Hiawatha Public Library (150 W Willman St, Hiawatha IA).

Second will be on Sunday January 12th, from Noon to 5 PM at Hobby Corner ( 1606 Sycamore St, Iowa City, IA). There will also be a Gamicon meeting during the last hour of this one so if you have interest in seeing what that looks like or want to see how else you can help stick around for that.

Also a reminder that if you want to make sure your events show up in the program guide they will need to be submitted by January 15th. You will still be able to submit events after that but they will only be viewable on the website or on the sign up sheets at the con.

Now Scheduling Events, Event Submissions are Still OPEN!

We have started scheduling the events we have received and will continue to accept events until January 15th, 2025. Once you have purchased your badge, you may click on the "Host" tab and select "Submissions" to submit your events. View scheduled events under "Attend" and select "Event Schedule". Events will be open for sign-ups to benefactor members starting on February 1, 2025 and for all attendees starting on February 8, 2025. Event sign-ups will close on February 23rd. After the 23rd you will sign up for events at the convention.

We have decided on our Charities for 2025

We have decided on HACAP and Last Hope Animal Rescue. There will be lots of opportunities for you to help out these great organizations. Look under the "Attend" tab and select "Charities" to find out how you can give your support. We will be updating more as we get closer to the con, so make sure to check back often!

ABOUT GAMICON

Gamicon is an annual gaming convention held in Eastern Iowa for over 30 years. We have numerous Board, Card, and Roleplaying games over the course of three days and also feature a Game Library, Play-to-Win Games, computer and video gaming and a Live Game Auction. We have exciting news! We have outgrown our space in Cedar Rapids, so are moving to the Coralville Hyatt in the Iowa River Landing, right off I-80! We have also switched weekends, so make sure to mark your calendar accordingly.
