Our event is open and welcoming to everyone! We want all of our attendees to have a wonderful time. These convention policies and rules are intended to ensure that all guests can enjoy the event while feeling safe and welcome. Gamers are generally a friendly and tolerant crowd, but we have to say it anyway: *No harassment of any kind will be tolerated -- be a good human and everything will be fine! *
We take harassment, threats, and violence at our event very seriously. We will not tolerate unacceptable behavior, which includes but is not limited to:
If at any time a Staff Member determines your behavior to be inappropriate, you may be asked to leave the convention. The organizers reserve the right to revoke the badge and access of anyone at our sole discretion without refund.
If you feel threatened at Friends Across the Board, or witness a situation that you think may be a problem, it is your responsibility to immediately report it to an Event staff member. Please go directly to any Staff member or the registration desk to make us aware of anything that happens that concerns you.
Our badges are only for sale to those 14 years of age and older. Children 13 and under are welcome to come with other badgeholders but must be attended by a adult guardian at all times during the convention.
Your badge must be visible at all times when in convention space. You will not be allowed to participate in any convention events without having a badge and you may be asked to leave the convention if you don’t have a badge on.
We cannot offer refunds on badges to Friends Across the Board after the returns date of January 17th. We understand that sometimes plans change. If you contact us before March 17th 2025, we can transfer your badge to someone else’s name. A financial exchange is your responsibility to transact, bearing in mind that we do not allow attendees to sell badges for a profit.
Flyers or promotional items must be reviewed and approved by Friends Across the Board before being distributed. We reserve the right to prohibit material at our discretion. If we haven’t approved it in advance, our crew will likely remove the materials and you may be asked to leave.
Friends Across the Board is hosted at a great venue, but when it comes down to it, your personal security and the safety of your property is your responsibility. Friends Across the Board and its staff are not responsible or liable for any loss of items or property or the physical safety of attendees, volunteers, vendors, or guests. However, we do maintain a “Lost & Found” area at the Registration Desk and will do our best to help reunite you with any lost property if at all possible. If you bring any games to the event they must be labeled with your name and phone number/email address.
Police will be notified of anyone found stealing or harming another person.
Lots of pictures will probably be taken at the convention by many people! We reserve the right to use the likeness of any volunteers, attendees, guests, or vendors in video or still images or audio recording for promotional purposes. By registering for Friends Across the Board, you are consenting to our use of your likeness for such promotional purposes.
No food of any kind is allowed in the ballroom area. Food is allowed at the hallway tables or in the lobby area. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed anywhere and water stations will be provided. Regardless of what you eat/drink, please do so responsibly – clean up your trash.
Finally, remember that Friends Across the Board reserves the right to revoke convention badges and have any person(s) removed from the convention/hotel should the need arise.
