Flatcon Age of Sigmar Tournament

Tournament Rules

  • 1500 pts Matched Play using the AoS 3 rules and the General's Handbook 2022. Army composition rules will follow 1,000 point restrictions (4 max leader, 2 min. battleline, etc).
  • Grand Strategies, Command Traits & Enhancements (Artifacts, mount traits, etc), as well as Battletome specific spells/prayers, must be chosen when you turn in your list for the tournament. These will not change throughout the course of the tournament.
  • Grand Strategies and Battle Tactics from the General's Handbook 2022 and any applicable Army Book/White Dwarf update will be used for this tournament.
  • Realm rules from the General's Handbook 2022 will be in use for each game.
  • Each round will last 2 hours. Players need to have results in before the end of the round to keep the event on track. If players are not finished at the end of the round they will be asked to stop and work out results.
  • Judge rulings are final. I will be looking to make fast decisions on rules calls and make no claims to be perfect. Please have all rules readily available, including FAQs, when asking the judge for a ruling.
  • Battleplans from the General's Handbook 2022 will be used for all games.
  • Terrain will be set up by the TO and should not be moved. Terrain rules from section 17.0 in the Core rules will be used for terrain. Mysterious terrain will not be used.
  • If a player is tabled before the last round, the player who was not tabled will still score battle tactics and the player who was tabled will score zero battle tactics for the remaining Battle Rounds.
  • Kill Points will be used to break ties for Best Overall, Best General and Best Sports. Game Scoring

At then end of the game, players will compare victory points (including Grand Strategy points) and each player will score victory points based on the following:

  • Win by 20+ points 20 Battle Points
  • Win by 16-19 points 17 Battle Points
  • Win by 11-15 points 14 Battle Points
  • Win by 6-10 points 12 Battle Points
  • Win by 1-5 points 10 Battle Points
  • Tie 9 Battle Points
  • Lose by 1-5 points 8 Battle Points
  • Lose by 6-10 points 6 Battle Points
  • Lose by 11-15 points 4 Battle Points
  • Lose by 16-195 points 2 Battle Points
  • Lose by 20+ points 0 Battle Points

Sportsmanship

  • At the end of the tournament, each player will rank their opponents. Their favorite opponent will receive 3 points, 2nd favorite 2 points and 3rd 1 point.
  • At the end of the tournament, each player will rank the army lists they played against. The player with the army voted as favorite will receive 3 points, 2nd favorite 2 points and 3rd 1 point. Favorite army is voted however each player wants to qualify it. Could be a fluffy list or a cool army to play against.

Painting

  • Painting and round bases are not required, but in order to be considered for Best Overall and Best Painted, the army must be fully painted and on round bases.
  • Best painted will be determined by TO.
