Volunteering at Bing Bong Con 2027!

After you apply, your application will need to be approved by The Brothers Murph. Then you will be assigned 2 shifts.

All Volunteers will have their badge converted to a volunteer badge which discounts their badge by $40. The difference will be automatically refunded to you.

Important Information

• All applicants will be approved by The Brothers Murph
• There are only 15 volunteer spots so not every application will get approved
• You MUST purchase a convention badge before you apply. Your badge will then be converted after your application is approved.
• All volunteers will be required to work 2, 4-hour shifts.
• The Volunteer staff will be lead by Karyn Noel (Volunteer Lead)
• All Volunteers will get Volunteer Staff shirts that must be worn while they are on shift.
• Please do not wear your volunteer staff shirts while not on shift, as we don't want to confuse attendees.

Shift Types and Responsibilities

There are 3 types of volunteer shifts at Bing Bong Con 2027:

Registration Desk

• Work the Registration table, which will be adjacent to the library
• Check arriving attendees into the convention and give them their badge
• Give attendees relevant information about the convention (how the library works, etc.)

Library

• Check games in and out of the library
• Assist attendees in the library
• Keep the library clean and tidy
• Provide information about the Play-to-Win games
• Notate missing game pieces/match missing game pieces back to their games

NOTE: On Saturday and Sunday the Registration and Library volunteer shifts are combined into 1, and volunteers will have to do both tasks.

Wandering Bing Bong

• Wander the hall
• Provide information to guests that have questions
• Check on the general vibe and well being of the convention
• Help keep the main hall tidy
• Assist/do miscellaneous tasks, and just generally help where needed.

Note that the Wandering Bing Bong shift is very fluid and casual. You will not be required to walk around the whole time. There will be seats for you to sit and relax. You can maybe even help teach a game or pop into a quick 10 minute filler game etc. We want you to be chatting with attendees and having a good time, available for what's needed, and visible so attendees can find you if they need assistance.
