About Us
Qwyx Events is headed by Jeff Anderson, the Director of Events for BoardGameGeek, who oversees BGG's land-based conventions BGG.CON and BGG.Spring in Dallas, Texas.
In 2015 we started the BGG@SEA series of yearly board-gaming cruises and have visited ports all over the western and eastern Caribbean as well as many trips to Alaska.
In 2023 we expanded our offerings to include more targeted and small-group experiences under the heading of Gaming Adventures with CaptainQwyx. These started with Podfather: The Cruise with Stephen Buonocore, "the Podfather of Gaming", and the Spiel@Sea Transatlantic cruise right after the SPIEL fair in Essen, Germany.
Beginning in 2024 we expanded to offer two BGG@SEA cruises each year - one from a USA domestic port and one from somewhere else around the world.
We will also be running at least one Gaming Adventure with CaptainQwyx event each year. See below for our exciting offerings and come join us!
