We are back! After 2 hugely successful conventions in 2018 and 2019, we were on a roll when the global pandemic hit. Like everyone else, we were forced to cancel our 2020 plans. We also decided to skip 2021, in favor of relaunching TokenCon to be bigger and better in 2022.
For 2022, we are again planning a 3 day convention, but we have changed the dates from the fall to the spring. This will be our new annual timeframe for TokenCon, giving us greater access to the best available games and resources within the global board gaming calendar.
We’re also excited to announce that TokenCon 2022 is moving to a nicer, larger venue - the Hilton Embassy Suites. While we love the support we received from the Wyndham Garden Hotel, we have now outgrown it. The Embassy Suites provides us with much more space for open gaming and other events and activities. With recently renovated common areas, the Embassy Suites provides the best gaming opportunities we've ever had for TokenCon.
TokenCon is an extension of the Oklahoma Board Game Community's network of board game events throughout Oklahoma. Oklahoma Board Game Community (OKBGC) is known locally for hosting weekly and monthly events, attracting anywhere between 10-150 people, based on the venue and type of event. With over 2,200 Facebook members and over 3,600 MeetUp members, OKBGC is excited to deliver another TokenCon in response to the tremendous growth in Oklahoma board gaming.
