Tournament Rules The Bolt Action tournament “Resistance 2022” for Tacticon is going to be a theme based on Partisans Warfare in WWII. The point limit for will be 800 points,12 dice., 1 generic reenforced platoon. If your playing Axis you will be Anti-Partisan and if your Allies you’ll be supporting Partisans. (Won’t effect game play, that’s just the historic theme) All players (Axis and Allies) will get a free Renault 35 tank as both sides used them in WWII. These will be ready to use at the tournament and you get to keep it. The R35 was used by many countries all around the world. A lot of the Captured French Armor from the 1940 Blitzkrieg were obsolete compared to tanks coming out as the newer armor and guns outmatched the R35. The Germans and other Axis/Occupied countries (Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Vichy, etc.)Used the R35 for Police/Security and Anti-Partisan duties. They were also used by Axis and Allies in the African Colonies and the Middle East. Then the Partisans in many Axis controlled countries used captured Axis vehicles to to include motorcycles, half tracks, Kubelwagons, Armored cars like the 222, or recaptured French Armor that were captured by the Germans. (So some R35s changed hands 3 times during the War. )

For the tournament Axis and Allies players will each get a R35 tank (free, yes free , you get to keep it) for 0 points, just add a dice to the order bag, and a 5 man partisan unit or 5 man Security detail, no point cost , again just add one dice in the bag. (So bring two extra order dice that’s the same color as your Army’s order dice) I will have the squads of Partisan Guerrillas or Security Police at the tournament to use. If you want to bring your own squad, you need a NCO with SMG, Soldier w/SMG, 3 soldiers w/rifles , all Veteran. (This is easy for Axis players as you just take 5 of your Infantry miniatures to use for a Security Police squad) If you don’t have the miniatures to make one of these extra squads, that’s totally fine, I will have extra squads of Security Police and Partisans for everyone that needs them. So please, it’s not a requirement for you to make them (unless you want too), everyone will have a squad ready to use for the tournament. Again, both these units (R35 & 5 man squad) does not count against your 800 point list or 12 dice limit. Everyone will play with these two units at no cost. As

We will also be using the most current Errata/FAQ. You can find these on Warlord site and on the Easy Army site. • There is a minimum 3 color painting requirement. Bases must be painted or flocked (terrain) No Exceptions • Dice, tape measure, pin markers, templates and order dice • please use EasyArmy (https://wg.easyarmy.com/) to prepare and submit your lists. You will need 5 copies of your army list, clearly readable. 3 for opponents, 1 for you, and 1 for the T/O. Please have copies of your list , I have no means to print any up at the tournament. If you don’t have enough miniatures to make your Army a 800 point list, contact me, I have 5 complete Armies. I will be glad to lend what you need.

Army selection: Army up to 800 points/12 Order Dice Armies to be chosen from any current Warlord Army book, Official Army list, The platoons in the force must be selected using the army list section of the main rule book, one of the Armies of xxxx books, or an Approved Generic list of a minor country that does not have an Armies of xxxx book. All lists must be a generic platoon, No theater list. Approved Books/List: Armies of Armies of Germany, V2   Armies of United States Armies of Great Britain   Armies of the Soviet Union Armies of Imperial Japan Armies of France and the Allies Armies of Italy and the Axis France Late-War (Battle of the Bulge Book) Approved Generic list for Nations without a book: Australian Reinforced Platoon Chinese (Communist) Reinforced Platoon Chinese (Nationalist) Reinforced Platoon Chinese (Warlord) Reinforced Platoon

No Special Characters, legendary tanks, warplanes or war correspondents No Tank War Armored Platoons

Models must be WYSIWYG and should resemble what they are supposed to be, for example weapon upgrades need to be modelled onto the vehicles. Models should be 28mm 1/56 in scale.

Player Conduct Rules:

Slow play: Should a player believe their opponent is playing slow then, if possible, discuss this with your opponent as there may be a legitimate reason for the slow play, should this fail to resolve the matter contact the Tournament Organiser/s.

Offensive Language: Please be aware that this is an event which is being held in a public venue can all players ensure they keep the language clean and family firendly.

Sportsmanship: The goal of this tournament is to have fun and a good time. So bring a good healthy attitude. If f there is a disagreement within the rules players are urged to resolve between themselves. Please use the common sense ‘rule of thumb’ if it doesn’t seems believable in the real world then it probably isn’t and remember it’s a game! If you can resolve the issue/rule you can also roll off with a D6 (1-3 it doesn’t happen, 4-6 it does happen)Just to help keep the game moving along. A Referee ruling can be asked for at any time. Referee ruling is final.

This tournament was designed to play different list, try some new easy rules you may not have played before, and expose players to a part of WWII history some may not be familiar with. I would like to encourage people to experiment and play with lists that are fun to play with and to play against. The scenarios are easy to play but still challenging and fun. Remember this tournament is more focused to introduce new players to tournaments and having a theme to make it more fun. Remember, the Official Warlord Bolt Action Tournament at Genghiscon in February 2023 will feature bigger lists, more dice, more points and a little more of a competition focus.

This is NOT a win at all costs event. The TO’s reserves the right to ask players to resubmit army lists that are considered... perhaps "too hard" for the spirit of the event.
