RPG ALLIANCE CON 2025

CHARITY DRIVE

The RPG Alliance Con is about bringing people together as a community and every year we try to give back to the larger community. This year there are so many challenges that people are facing that we wanted to support local Calgary charities through our CANADAHELPS Online Charity Drive. Many thanks for your generous hearts!

Our GAME SUBMISSIONS FORM has a question asking if your game is a CHARITY GAME or not?

If you choose YES then your game will be listed as a "Special Event Designation: Charity Game", and you will see this on your Game/Event page.

Players are then able to search all the Charity Games they want to play in.

We know times are tough for many people in our various communities. Giving is completely optional, and only give what you can afford.

Game Runners: you can encourage donations in your game but don't coerce or harass players into donating. It's meant to be a fun mechanic in support of charity for those who choose to participate, but not at the expense of fun for the entire table.

GAME RUNNERS WHO WANT TO RUN IN-GAME DONATIONS

It's easy to bring the giving spirit into your games by using the in-game incentives for donations through our CANADAHELPS charity drive page, for which we will proved flyers at each table with the QR Code and website link, for fast and easy donations by your players. We use the honour system so donations may be completed after the game so it doesn’t slow down the fun.

Please do NOT collect cash at your table for various legal reasons.

Canadian Veterans Services Society: Calgary Veterans Food Bank

https://cavss.ca/

We are proud to announce that we are a National Charity and provide services Canada wide. You may designate which Province your donation will remain, or choose "General" to be used wherever needed.

We currently operate three food banks in Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer) and two in British Columbia (Kelowna) with a second on Vancouver Island. We have a network of like-minded professionals assisting across Canada with all needs of our clients.

We supply nutritious food, clothing, household goods and furniture. Our Clients experience a relaxed shopping experience, they shop for items they want or need, not just handed a food hamper.

In some cases we offer employment readiness courses and with support from professional partners we facilitate mental health counselling and training.

To achieve these goals we rely on generous donors for financial support. They say it takes a village and we could use your help in our mission.
