Why does RiVirCon require all attendees to purchase a badge?

1. Like most conventions, RiVirCon relies on admission fees to cover the majority of its operating costs.

2. All attendees — including Game Masters (GMs) and event organizers — are required to purchase a badge. Unlike some conventions, RiVirCon does not offer badge reimbursements, credits, or other compensation for running events. This keeps things simple, fair, and sustainable.

3. Event space is limited. Requiring a badge helps reduce GM no-shows, which can be disappointing for players who planned to attend a scheduled game.
