Holler: The Legend of the Boogeyman Tree
Holler: An Appalachian Apocalypse is a new folk horror setting using the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules.
Set in an alternate history version of depression-era Appalachia, it's a game about workers versus bosses, everyday folks versus demons, and the bonds of community in the face of economic exploitation and environmental apocalypse.
In this scenario, the group travels to the remote logging town of Gilmer in the Great Craggy Mountains, where Whit Royster, the head of Royster Logging, has been driving his lumberjacks deep into demon-infested woods to increase his yield. Several of his men have been killed in the process. This has made the good folks of Gilmer none too happy, and they might be ripe for a revolt. What the group finds when they arrive, however, goes far beyond worker unrest, and each truth they discover is stranger, and more dangerous, than the last.
