VOLUNTEER SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Gamicon is 100% volunteer run. That's right, none of our staff, con commitee, or organization gets paid to bring our event to you. Please consider taking some time to volunteer to give our hard working staff a break. Click on the volunteer tab above, fill out an application, and choose one (or more) shifts. Everything is easier and more fun when we all pitch in to help.

Our locker run/load-in, will be Thursday, March 5th. We will meet for supper at the Coral Ridge Food Court at 5:30. After eating (around 6:30) we'll head over to the locker to load up and go to the hotel for setup. We offer double volunteer hours for helping with load-in.

We have 7 rooms available on Friday and 7 rooms available on Saturday. Get them while they are still available. You may reserve your rooms by clicking THIS LINK

UPDATE: Thursday rooms are sold out at this time. We are working on the possiblity of room blocks at nearby hotels and will update as we have more information.

Rooms are $142 per night.

NEW MERCH!!!

Our 2026 Gamicon Bromine T-shirts and Hoodies are now available on the website. We also have badge wallets and are offering a second chance at getting last years' shirts and hoodies. We will have sticker sheets available, designs coming soon. And don't forget to add in your program book if you haven't already!

Reminder that these will be available for pickup only at the convention. We will not ship merchandise. If you are unable to attend, contact info@gamicon.org to arrange having someone pick up your merch for you.

Questions on Running Events?

We will once again be hosting GM parties, small events where you can come and ask our event coordinator in person about any questions you may have about running an event at Gamicon, you can also register for Gamicon, submit events and hang out and play some games with Gamicon staff. These events will be at the following times and locations:

Saturday January 17 at the Hiawatha Public Library (150 W Willman St, Hiawatha, IA) from 1 to 5 PM.

Sunday January 18th at Geek City Games (365 Beaver Kreek Ctr, Ste B, North Liberty, IA) from 1 PM to 4 PM, with a small Gamicon meeting following that from 4 PM to 5 PM if you'd like to see what that entails.

ABOUT GAMICON

Gamicon is an annual gaming convention held in Eastern Iowa for over 30 years. We have numerous Board, Card, and Roleplaying games over the course of three days and also feature a Game Library, Play-to-Win Games, computer and video gaming and a Live Game Auction. We have exciting news! We have outgrown our space in Cedar Rapids, so are moving to the Coralville Hyatt in the Iowa River Landing, right off I-80! We have also switched weekends, so make sure to mark your calendar accordingly.
