Cincinnati Arsenal Gaming invites all miniature painters to enter the Golden Pig Award Miniature Painting Competition, held during CincyCon 16. Inspired by Cincinnati’s famous pig statues and the convention’s signature theme, this contest highlights creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit.

Competition Categories 1. Single Miniature

A single figure on up to a 50mm base (including cavalry, bikes, and small vehicles).

Judging Criteria: • Technical Execution – 40% • Creativity & Composition – 30% • Presentation – 20% • Theme – 10%

Units

A squad of 3–10 miniatures. Requires a display base no larger than 1’×1’ (may be smaller).

Judging Criteria: • Cohesion – 35% • Technical Execution – 35% • Base Work – 20% • Creativity – 10%

Monsters & Vehicles

Large centerpiece models such as tanks, mechs, dragons, or daemons.

Judging Criteria: • Technical Execution – 35% • Weathering & Effects – 30% • Composition – 25% • Narrative – 10%

Scoring Guidelines

Gold: 90–100 — Flawless execution with exceptional mastery Silver: 75–89 — High-quality work with minor imperfections Bronze: 60–74 — Solid effort with room for refinement

Overall Winner — “THE GOLDEN PIG”

A single overall champion will be selected from among all Gold-level category winners.
