Dice Throne at High Noon - 2v2
Dice Throne is a fast-paced, strategic tabletop game often described as "Yahtzee meets Magic: The Gathering," combining dice manipulation and card play. This unranked tournament will be open to both new players and veterans, and will feature 45 minute rounds (instead of the usual 30) to make things easier for new folks.
A 2v2 tournament follows most of the same rules as other tournament formats, except players play in pairs set up before the tournament and use the same set of heroes for all games. (Players are strongly encouraged to pair up with teammates beforehand - you can sign up solo and be paired randomly before we begin, but if we get an odd number of solo players you may not be able to play!) Standard Swiss pairings are used.
Copies of the new solo hero, the Alchemist, will be given to both members of the winning team! There will also be other prizes for players.
Players are encouraged to bring their own heroes, but a library will be available with all heroes released to date that players can borrow from. (Arrive early if you want to borrow - first come, first served!)
