BR&WL-CON KILL TEAM – DUEL STRIKE

Event: Kill Team Double-Header Tournament

Location: BR&WL-CON @ Houston Marriott Sugar Land Town Square

Players: 24

Duration: Two 1-day events (Saturday and Sunday) Players may take part in one or both events.

Format: Swiss-style pairing for both days, no elimination, with 4 rounds per day (8 total games per players who take part in both days)

Roster Rules: Each player submits a single Matched Play roster of up to 20 operatives (per Kill Team Core Book, page 90). Players bring their own models, 3 barricades, and approved equipment/ops. Players may use a different roster for each day!

Scoring: Standard Kill Team scoring (Victory Points from mission primaries and secondaries).

*Tiebreakers: *Total VP across all games, then head-to-head results, then total models killed.

Terrain: 12 tables with dense, thematic Kill Team provided by BR&WL-CON.

Software: Best Coast Pairings (BCP) app for pairings, scoring, and table assignments.

Daily Prizes: Trophies for each day’s placings, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

*Overall: *(combined score across both days) Duel Strike trophies for players who took part in both days for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Best Painted Team and Best Sportsmanship.

Raffles: Each player entered into the Duel Strike Raffle drawing for other prizes.

Day 1: Theme - "Urban Siege"

Concept: Teams battle in a war-torn cityscape, representing desperate skirmishes amidst crumbling hive cities. Missions emphasize close-quarters combat, objective control, and sabotage in dense urban environments.

Terrain Setup: Heavy use of Chalnath or Nachmund terrain (dense buildings, rubble, narrow corridors). No L/U-shaped terrain; focus on blocks for cover. All terrain rules are provided at the tables.

Thematic Flair: Narrative briefings describe a hive city under siege by rival factions.

Concept: Teams fight aboard derelict space hulks or breached orbital stations, with missions focusing on mobility, area denial, and high-stakes objectives in claustrophobic, zero-gravity-like environments.

Double-Header Structure: Each day is a standalone Swiss event, but overall rankings combine both days’ VP totals for fairness and to reward consistency.

*Thematic Differentiation: *Urban Siege (Day 1) uses dense terrain and objective-heavy missions to evoke street fighting, while Void Breach (Day 2) uses open layouts and mobility-focused missions for a space hulk feel.
