Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) - The Portal Under the Stars
You’re no hero. You’re a peasant from a local village who recently learned of a rumor about the Empty Star. Last seen almost 50 years ago, and scheduled to rise in the sky again tonight, the Empty Star is rumored to connected to opening a portal filled with riches greater than you will ever see in your lifetime as a peasant. Yesterday you told your best friend of your secret and you both promised to tell nobody. Tonight, you and twenty of your fellow villagers, armed only with the information shared by your best friend, your desires for a better life, and a few random items from your various professions have gathered outside of your village to test your wits and luck.
This is a classic DCC Zero-Level Funnel. Multiple pre-generated characters will be provided to each Player by the Judge. Newbies to DCC are welcome. Experience playing a D&D-type RPG is helpful but not required. The only requirements are you come prepared to have fun, don't get too attached to your characters, and don't read the adventure prior to playing. A brief intro to the game mechanics will be provided at the beginning of the session.
