Venger Con V

You've been sand-slogging through the desert for days, avoiding sandworms, zarla'ac pits, and skeevers... finally reaching the dungeon entrance. Crossing the threshold engraved with an eldritch-glyph, you see a violet flame burning mid-air right in front of you. Grasping it, as prophecy states, the fiery violet consumes your flesh then quickly recedes, leaving behind a doom-mark - the eye of Yog-Soggoth!

VENGER CON has always been and will always be a small, exclusive group of individual paper & pencil tabletop roleplaying gamers coming together in-person every July to experience immersive adventure!

The entire weekend is a celebration of old-school, OSR, and traditional gaming. However, there's always room for exploration, innovation, and experimentation with the art form. VENGER CON encourages gamers of all stripes to examine the nature of our hobby and, if desired, realign roleplaying games to suit our needs.

No more than 3 games per room (I just got back from GaryCon and it was 10+ games per room) in order to keep distraction and noise to a minimum, saving one's voice in the process. If we exceed 66 attendees, I'll rent out additional rooms so it never feels like we're sardines and everyone has to shout just to be heard.

We're trying something a little different this year with the gaming schedule. By May 1st, we'll have each game scheduled so that attendees can lock-in their games of choice ahead of time; thanks to Merchant of Mela'anj Bill Allan.

Additionally, I'm tweaking the time-slots (going from 4-hour sessions to 3-hour sessions) to give us even more gaming opportunities... more chance to experience the wide variety of RPGs and GMs that VENGER CON has to offer.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will all have an 8:30am - 9:00am get-together and hang-out in the largest of the three rooms where we can organize our thoughts and talk about the day's events as we chat about gaming.

Friday and Saturday's games will be from 9am - 12 noon (with a designated break for lunch between noon and 1pm), 1pm - 4pm, 4pm - 7pm, and 7pm - 10pm with a special event both nights from 10pm - 11pm.

Sunday's time-slots will be 9am - 12 noon, 12 - 3pm, and 3pm - 6pm.

For those arriving on Thursday, there's always drinks at the hotel bar. However, from 7 - 9pm, I'm arranging a special 2-hour introductory adventure for those new to Cha'alt, my very own eldritch, gonzo, science-fantasy, post-apocalyptic campaign setting. I've been developing it slowly but surely through years of intense world-building, casual gaming, and PSYCHOCOSM (the ultimate goal and what immersion can lead to via special techniques) since 2018. Veterans are welcome, too, assuming there are open seats.

Let me say that the VENGER CON hotel is top-notch! It's fancy, new, and affordable with a great location (within walking distance of restaurants, fast-food, and a late-night grocery store).
