TANTRUMCON VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in joining our TantrumCon Family! You are a HUGE value to the convention and we thank you in advance for being part of our team!!

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, unless provided an exception by TantrumCon staff. We have some areas where teen volunteers are welcome. Please contact Monica@TantrumHouse.com

Volunteers do not need to purchase a badge to TantrumCon, if working a minimum of 12 hours. We will assign your hours (working with your preferences) and issue a Volunteer badge to you. Please see volunteer benefits below. If a hopeful volunteer purchased a badge already, we can refund the badge, but please be aware that Tabletop.Events keeps the fees that you paid for your badge plus $2 for the reimbursement processing.

Volunteers will be assigned to shifts in the following areas:

• Registration = great location for happy people with customer service and computer skills!
• Board game library = must be able to recommend games and talk with people about games!
• Special events = Be ready to setup, decorate, check names off a list, or whatever we need!
• Kids gaming = Help facilitate open gaming, crafts, scheduled events for kids and teens. Teen volunteers (age 15+) welcome here.
• Show Logistics = lots of lifting, bag stuffing, moving items, putting up signs and similar set up tasks.
• Hot Games = Commit to learning up to 7 games and giving overviews of these "hot" games.
• Miniature Painting = Help attendees get set up to paint in open painting or classes.
• Tournameals/Tournaments = Volunteer to teach tournameal or tournament games.

Volunteer benefits

• 12 hours =Volunteer Badge for TantrumCon 2024 plus volunteer t-shirt
• 15 hours = Volunteer Badge for TantrumCon 2024, volunteer t-shirt, plus 2 concessions meal vouchers
• 21 hours = Volunteer Badge for TantrumCon 2024, volunteer t-shirt, plus 5 concessions meal tickets
• 40 hours+ (staff level) =Staff Badge for TantrumCon 2024, volunteer t-shirt, plus three nights at the hotel.

We are also working hard to get any small thank-you items (and games!) that we can obtain from our sponsors to pass on to you. Volunteer Badges are equivalent to an "Attendee Badge" purchase with all the same perks that people receive for this badge. If a volunteer purchased a "Premier Badge," we can make arrangements for you to have the cost of an Attendee Badge reimbursed to you.
