Echoes of Heresy Armorourd Company Narrative Event Operation Iron Spear
"Before the Titans marched... the armored legions opened the road." The opening phase of the assault on Kharon Reach belongs to the armored companies. Reconnaissance has identified a weak point in the enemy's defensive cordon protecting the Forge Vaults. Before the main invasion can begin, armored spearheads must race across the ash wastes to seize critical logistics hubs, destroy enemy reserves, and establish a corridor for the Titans and infantry that will arrive tomorrow. Fast-moving tank formations clash across kilometers of blasted manufactorum highways while heavy super-heavies duel for control of vital crossroads. Every kilometer gained today will shape tomorrow's invasion. This battle serves as the official prelude to the Echoes of Heresy campaign at Tacticon 2026.
Event Information Army Size: 2,000 Points Rounds: One Narrative Team Game Battle Length: 4 hours
Army Construction Players must choose one of the following formations. Legiones Astartes Legion Armoured Company Legion Spartans may be selected as Heavy Armour Detachments. Legion Land Raiders may be selected as Battle Tank Detachments. Legion Super-Heavy Spearhead (Ruin of the Salamanders) Solar Auxilia Solar Auxilia Armoured Company Solar Auxilia Super-Heavy Company Solar Auxilia Titan Hunter Company Solar Auxilia Leman Russ Spearhead Mechanicum Autokratorii Regiment Remove all HQ, Tech-Priest Auxilia, Transport and Support Detachments. Add three (3) additional Battle Tank Detachments under Optional Detachments. Terror Protocol Remove HQ and Vanguard Detachments from Compulsory Detachments. Add one (1) Scintillax Noospheric Stalker Detachment as a Compulsory Detachment. Remove all Core and Vanguard Detachments from Optional Detachments. Add four (4) Errax Detachments under Expanded Detachments. Purge Protocol Remove the HQ Detachment from Optional Detachments. Add one (1) Scintillax Noospheric Stalker Detachment under Optional Detachments.
Additional Army Restrictions
Limited Air Support Aircraft may be included, but Air Support Detachments may not exceed 10% of the army's points value (200 points). Tank Commanders Legion and Solar Auxilia Tank Commanders may be included as described in the Liber Strategia. Allied Contingents Allied Contingents, including Titans, Knights, and Strategic Assets, may be taken normally but may not exceed 30% of the army (600 points).
