Required items • 3rd Editions of Bolt Action rulebook, Armies of Germany, United States, Great Britain and Minor Nation PDF. We will also be using the most current Errata/FAQ. You can find these on Warlord site and on the Easy Army site. • There is a minimum 3 color painting requirement this year. Bases must be painted or flocked (terrain) No Exceptions • Dice, tape measure, pin markers, templates and order dice • 5 copies of your army list, clearly readable. 3 for opponents, 1 for you, and 1 for me. If you don’t have enough miniatures to make your a 1,250 point Army , contact me, I have 8 complete Armies. I will be glad to lend what you need to use in the actual Tournament.
Suggested items: Latest version of the errata/FAQ. Counters, smoke markers, etc. A quick reference sheet. Contact me at sgted_2000@yahoo.com and I will Email the most current Reference Sheet . A tray to put your army on so you can move table to table
Additional Rules:

2 hours and 30 minutes each
(There will be time before each round to look at the scenario , discuss armies/terrain with you opponent, etc)
Army selection: Armies to be chosen from Version 3 Bolt Action rule book, the Minor Nation List (PDF) and the new Version 3 Armies of Germany, United States, and Britain.
Your list must have the mandatory Infantry Platoon (Platoon Leader and 2 Units) , and only 1 platoon of Heavy Weapons, Engineers, Artillery,
Armored, and Recce. The only platoon you can purchase twice is another Infantry. (Other words you can have a total of 2 Infantry Platoons). There is no requirement to pay for weapons for your HQ units (example a platoon leader, his additional soldiers, Forward Observers, Political Officers , etc) I’m talking about not paying for a SMG 4 points, assault gun 6 points. If you’re using the Warlord Games Army list builder app you can go into the settings and select Bolt Action Version 3, and it won’t cost you points when you select weapons for your HQs. The new Version 3 Army Unit Books do require to pay weapon points for HQs, but until more books are released , it wouldn’t be fair to make some armies pay for the weapons and some won’t.
Unit limitations:
Max 2 Missile/Rocket systems
Max 3 Flame throwers on the table
Max 1 Forward observer (artillery and air)
We recommend you build your list on Warlord Army list App . (Which will be updated with the New V3 Army Books as their released)
or you can use Easy Army.
If the list is too cheesy, exploitive, or unsporting you may be asked to submitt A new list . Lists need to be submitted by “23 August 2025”to me at: sgted_2000@yahoo.com
Please get the list in on time. If you turn in your list by 23 Aug, I will send you the scenarios to start reviewing.
Game scoring:
Win 20 points
Draw 10 points
Loss 5 points
You will need to keep track of all your opponents order dice they lose (resulting from you destroying, capturing,fleeing units) playing against you even if that’s not a requirement of the scenario. If there is a tie , we will add up the total of opponents order dice you received and whoever has the most wins the tie. If there is still a tie the players will roll a D6, to determine the winner.
How opponents are chosen In Round 1: the players will play the opposite faction (Axis vs Allies) where possible. We will also endeavour to match you up with an opponent that is not from your area/club. If you have a grudge match that you want to play, please request and will try to accommodate if your opponent agrees. From Round 2 onwards, the Swiss tournament system will be used. This means that allies may fight other Allies and the same with Axis. 10-15 minutes will be given at the start of the round to allow time to set up, discuss the board/terrain and review Scenario. A 30-minute and 15-minute warning to the end of the game will be given. At the end of the round, when time is called, you must finish the order dice currently in play and then end the round. This will count as the end of the turn for objective purposes. There will be a 30 minute break after each game to calculate results.
The Awards are as Follow: 1st Best Over All General , 2nd best and 3rd best. Award for Best Army (Painted) . Those 4 awards will receive Award plaques. Plus there will be lots, and lots, of Great Prizes will be awarded based on where players place.
We please encourage you to bring terrain. Award will be given to best Looking Terrain Table. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can bring a table. (It’s really important to know ahead of time)
