Welcome to the Sunsphere Tactical Attack Brigade's Open Invitational!

It is open to all, and we are inviting everyone!

Our Raison d'être

The STABcast tradition is fun over form, and if you go 3-2 or 2-3 you are right at home at the STABcast Open Invitational! Are you brave enough to climb the mountain of success and claim the Victorious Tryhard Award or will you dig deeper into the salt mines looking for the Wooden Spoon Award. All are welcome here.

We are here for FIVE of the most casual competitive games of Legion you can find in the South. We will have 5 Games over 2 days in the heart of Downtown Knoxville. We will play 3 Games on Saturday the 23rd and 2 more rounds on the 24th. With a community meal planned for Saturday evening after the day's games, you can lament your losses and crow about your victories!

Event Details

Saturday we will play three (3) Swiss rounds. Sunday will feature two (2) more rounds of Swiss. We will be using the most updated Rules reference guide and Strength of schedule, for tied records. All events will have a 3 color paint minimum for armys. We also will be having a paint judging on Saturday and other prizes to be given out.

Each day, check-in will run from 8:30 AM till 9AM AM Rounds will run for 2 hours and 30 Minutes with 15 minutes after that time has elapsed to finish the current game round. After 15 minutes the round will be scored and pairings for the next round will be posted. All meal breaks will be 1 hour long. If after any round you wish to drop out of the event, please Let the staff at the Staff Desk know.

Armies should be painted to a three color standard for Legion events. Models are not required to be based. The easiest way to ensure you meet this requirement is a base coat on each model, a wash, and color on the mini's base. Please email us if you are unsure if you meet the Standard. Players who fail to meet this requirement will be given a Hard Warning. Players should have all materials needed to play Legion. This includes tokens, models, and associated unit / upgrade cards. Players who fail to meet this requirement may be disqualified. (This includes a Silhouette!)

Table Top Admiral and Legion HQ 2.0 are the preferred list builders. Lists must be uploaded to the Longshanks event page NO LATER THAN May 20th 23:59 EDT. Lists should be submitted in a Table Top Admiral or Legion HQ 2.0 JSON files for data collection, Players must include Battle Cards and Command Hand. Players who fail to meet this requirement will receive a Hard Warning.

We are using Longshanks for the event. Once you have registered for any of the Legion events, please go to the event page and “Register” for the event. We will double check your entry against ticketing, and then approve you once it’s been verified. This will allow you to submit your list on time.

Table Competition

More details will be up soon, but our fan favorite Table competition will be held. Fill out a google form bring your table and Win Prizes. tables are judged on theme, Game play, Craftsmen ship / Hobby skill and Fun.
