Spring FWD Game Day - May 2, 2020

FWD RPG is organizing a single day of RPG excellence that will be held on May 2, 2020, at Brickhouse Games in Garland, Texas just northeast of Dallas. Expect a non-traditional phenomenal gaming experience that upholds our values of creating a safe, inclusive, creative, and considerate environment. Our culture focuses on smooth story flow and a “Yes, And” GM style. We will be offering various tabletop RPGs and systems such as Genesys, Star Wars, Powered by the Apocalypse, DCC, and many more.

Register today for the Early Bird All Day Badge, and pay a discounted price for an all-inclusive experience! A badge purchase is required to get tickets. Tickets are what get you into the games, there is no extra charge for tickets/seats in games.

Badge sales end 04/30/20 but any open badges & tickets will be for sale the day of at the event.

The Big Day

Head to the DFW Discord Server for more details and great conversations, but the event will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It will be held at Brickhouse Games, a great place to meet for gaming with plenty of space available. This is the ONLY PLACE to score tickets to Spring FWD Game Day.

FWD RPG

FWD (Forward) RPG is a group of like-minded Game Masters who love all kinds of RPGs, and want to see lesser-known/played TRPGs see the light of day at cons, gamedays, game stores, private homes, online, and wherever else we can run them. We operate based on 3 tenets:

1. We run games besides D&D
2. We're always willing to teach the games regardless of your experience level
3. We use a "Yes, And" GM style rather than a "Gotcha" GM style

We're tired of D&D being a proprietary eponym for Tabletop RPGs. We think you'll have just as much fun, if not more, by playing all these other great games that are out there. All you gotta do is take 2 steps back from the d20.

We'll have a presence at cons in the North Texas area as much as we can. The good fight for us currently is getting as many RPG nerds in the DFW area onto this discord server as possible. I'm sure there are plenty who don't use FB and are feeling alienated.

Code of Conduct

This day is going to be a fun time for all attendees. Most of us are friends, and we trust each other. Having said that, FWD RPG would be remiss if we did not advise all attendees of our Code of Conduct. Upon receipt of your badge, each attendee is acknowledging the acceptance of this expected code of conduct. (Legal guardians of minors attending the event will assume responsibility of said minors to do the same.) Let’s keep this convention a fun, friendly, and safe environment!
