Winter is long and chilly – what better way to spend a January weekend than with great people playing tabletop games?
SnowCon is Maine's well-loved annual tabletop event where a true community gathers to share their love for games. SnowCon features board games, role-playing games, card games and miniatures. Players of all experience levels are welcome. Plus, vendors are there to cater to your ruthless creativity!
We’re proud that SnowCon is a truly family-friendly event. We’ve had kids as young as 9 running games for other kids and parent-child games to help grow the love of games for all ages.
You'll find a good many games on the schedule as attendees submit submit them. These are 2 and 4 hour games that you sign up to play by "buying" a ticket.
Attendees are also welcome to BYOGame and look for players in our open-gaming section. This is a large section of tables reserved for open gaming. Open gaming is free form... no schedule, no reserved seats. Maybe it's a standard game that you just love playing over and over. Maybe it's a new game just received as a gift or a fresh Kickstarter delivery. It could even be a wild, unique mash-up (ever played Apples Against Humanity, Catan Twister, or Scrabbalderdash?).
SnowCon has also proudly served as a beta testing ground and launch event for several new games so you may find yourself playing the next big thing – sometimes before it’s even a thing!
About Tabletop.Events:
1) First, purchase a badge to attend. SnowCon will be held on Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20, 2019. Badges are available for single day or full weekend play. (Single-day badges will be a available later in December.)
2) Plan your gameplay. There are both pickup games happening and scheduled games. To reserve a seat in a scheduled game, you "buy a ticket" for the game. Tickets are free - it's just the way that this system manages schedules. Be sure to reserve your spot early though — games fill up!
3) Want to host a game? GMs are to submit their games right on this site. Once approved, players can begin signing up to play.
